great buy
- Pros: no dead pixels and delivers a great crisp image
- Cons: a little bright for my tast
- Other Thoughts: the newer model comes with a dvi cable
Some tweaking required
- Pros: Large clear display, I've never used a better monitor and we have a few hundred Dell 1900/1800 FPs at the workplace. Even still this monitor I use at home.
- Cons: Spendy and requires some tweaking to get the contrast and colors where you want them.
- Other Thoughts: After the tweaking (use your video card color/gamma settings instead of the application the monitor comes with) it looks beautiful. Last time I moved I somehow put a huge scratch in the top right quarter of the panel and it's almost unnoticable until you get a solid color running through it and stare right at it. Looking into getting a screen replacement for the front coating.
Great Monitor, but only tilts
- Pros: Clear picture, Great color so far (have not calibrated for print/video production yet), no dead pixels. Colors do shift a little bit when viewing from different angles - but I believe that all LCD monitors do this a bit in the $xxx price range.

This model does not come with a stand for left to right swivel, adjustable stand height, or portrait swivel. Samsung makes different models with 2 different stands using 940 model name. If you need the various swivels make sure it states it in the technical description with NewEgg.
