Acer AL2032WA Black 20" 8ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 800:1 Built-in Speakers

Pros: This is an awesome monitor I run it in a dual monitor setup and it dwarfs my 17". Very bright, awesome for gaming, no dead/stuck pixels. I'm a very big gammer and this is deffinately an awesome gaming monitor.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: New Egg did an awesome job... once again, they were quick, and give tons of options to choose from for differnt monitors.

Pros: This monitor is amazing. I actually swore out lould when I first took it out of the box, it's bigger than you would think.

Cons: This isn't really a problem but it has speakers. Why would anyone want a monitor with built in speakers?

Other Thoughts: I have this running at 1680x1050 on DVI hooked up to my new X1900XTX. The pictures are sharp, colors are bright, and there is absolutely no ghosting in B&W 2, CoD2, HL2, and NFS:MW. Plus I was shocked to see that I had not a single dead pixel. I love you Newegg.

Pros: 1. High resolution - Crisp and clear and VERY bright.
2. DVI connection - Digital is the only way to go. The picture is much better on DVI than on Analog.
3. 8 ms refresh rate - This is very nice for games and for any type of digital content creation.

Cons: 1. Wide Bezel - the plastic trim on this monitor is a bit wide. It could maybe be trimmed down some. This doesn't decrease the useability or fucntionality, though. The value of this monitor is superb.

Other Thoughts: This is a superb widescreen which takes a close second to Apple HD displays.

Pros: This is a great monitor! I have a x1900xt and its connected to the monitor using DVI. The picture is very sharp and text looks great. I play CSS, HL2 and COD2 and they all look amazing, no ghosting at all. However you do need to turn vsync on when in game to get the best picture. All I did was plug this bad boy in and it looked great. I didn't need to make any adjustments to get a nice picture.

Cons: It costs a bit to much. The speakers on it aren't that great. 60mhz refresh rate.

Other Thoughts: I did much research before I bought this monitor and I have to say I am very happy with my purchase. If you are a gamer then rest assured you will like this monitor. It is very clear and sharp with nice colorers.

Pros: Absolutely delighted with this monitor. Use an Apple Cinema at work and like this one better. No dead pixels... sharp as a tack... no problems with DVI on an ATI X600 PRO... Makes Photoshop CS2 a whole new experience. This is a super bargain in my book. You will not be disappointed.

Cons: None that I can find...

Pros: it looks great, no dead pixels, beautiful picture and it looks sweet on bf2, a deffinate must buy!

No issues running on 1680x1050 res at all.

Cons: Could do without the built in speakers, I don't use them, but they are well hidden in the face, so you don't know they are there.

Other Thoughts: Awesome price for an awesome monitor.

Pros: Great screen, DVI, Price point (Was by far the best price when I brought it 3 months ago).

Cons: 1 Stuck Pix

Other Thoughts: Check out the new SCEPTRE X20G-Naga III Black 20.1. as the specs are almost identical and it cost $xxx less. But this one is great.

Pros: This monitor is perfect for the video editing. I used to use the dell one. Acer one is much better. Better response, better bright, better color. Just worth with the price.

Cons: Don't need built in speakers.

Comments: I'm looking to get this but that was my concern, but read this --
I've had the Acer AL2032WD for a week now.
I've had no problems running a 1680x1050 at all.
I'm using a nVidia 6600GT VGA card, and just chose 1680x1050 from the driver menu.
I was using analogue VGA, but have now changed to DVI.(both worked fine)
I was surprised to see a scart socket on the back!

This monitor is very sharp @ 1680x1050, and seems well worth the money.
My only gripe is the anti-reflective screen.
It does reject almost all reflections, but can leave whites looking a little dirty/sparklie etc.


Overall, very very stylish...
