Now other brands have surpased this model in price-to-performance. Bought around 100 of these for work in two batches a year apart. The last batch has quality issues. I can see ghosts where it looks like the LCD and plastic may not have been put together correctly. This washes out the color in some areas. One unit (only one) had a weird problem where it flashes a test sequence of colors over and over again if the computer is powered off. Other Thoughts: They are discontinuing this model, but it might be for the best considering the problems it is having. The speakers won't blow you away, but that is expected of built-in speakers. (And in my case, no dead or stuck pixels.) Cons: No swivel, tilt, or height adjustment functions. Other Thoughts: In my opinion, this monitor is an incredible value for the price. Perhaps of my own ignorance, I was relunctant to purchase this brand, but I have been pleasantly surprised. I'm definitely an Acer fan now. (Note: soon after purchase, the monitor developed a high-pitched squeek, the severity of which fluctuated with monitor brightness. This went away within 2-3 days, and never recurred.) Fast, no dead px, crystal clear and bright. With black peripherals they make for a very sexy desktop, if you're into that. Which of course I'm not.....there very functional. AAA for the price. Cons: Had a little problem with the display text, but after downloading the drivers from Acer - it was a beautiful thing. Res needs to be 1400x900 and they mean it. But at 16:10 you get the extra room for applications other than multimedia, like creating Word documents, viewing websites which require a taller aspect ration for less scrolling. No dead pixels. Cons: When using VGA input auto controls took over and self adjusted the resolution for just about every application i opened, even when unnecessary. Don't buy a monitor for speakers!!!
