Amazing monitor
- Pros: No dead pixels, bright, easy navigation, very clear fonts(through dvi), dual inputs, slick look, BIG
- Cons: Photographers and graphic artists heavily into print may not want this moniter as it has gradient banding from black to white. It is minor, and for the price can be ignored, but if you are a professional, this WILL affect you. Because of this, i can only give it a 4/5.
The VGA input isnt as clear as some monitors i have seen, but you shouldn't be using this on anything else than DVI unless you have more than one computer.
- Other Thoughts: The navigation on the side may daunt some, but i found it easy to get used to. This is an excellent monitor for games and web/flash/3d work(if you dont mind a little banding in the 3d).
I am using it with a Powerbook g4 1.5ghz with the 128mb ati 9700 graphics set. It works perfectly and the monitor profile was allready built into Tiger (OS X 10.4).
Would be great except for 6 bit panel
- Pros: Very affordable. Mine had dead or stuck pixels. I was paranoid about this and keep thinking I've found one, but it always turns out to be a spec of dust :) Excellent response time, no blurring. BF2 and CS:Source look awesome on it.
- Cons: It only has a 6 bit panel. Read the manufacturers specs it says "16 million colors (with dithering)". The "with dithering" bit is what gives it away. It means it can really only do 262,144 colors. This means you see color banding especially in darker colors. The fact that the monitor is very bright also exemplifies this effect. Dark games like Doom 3 looked better on my CRT. Plasma Pong is also pretty ugly on it.
- Other Thoughts: You see the least banding if you set the brightness, contrast, red, green and blue all to 50. Anything else is just shifting the palette around and dropping colors off the top or bottom of it.
Overall I am still happy with my purchase, just be aware that you are buying a 6 bit monitor when you consider this.

BenQ
- Pros: Excellent monitor. Amazing difference from a NON widescreen.
- Cons: non
Works for me
- Pros: I have two running from a G5 dual 2ghz giving me side-to-side 34 inches...feels more comfortable than my wife's 24inch... matched them perfectly with a Huey. Can't beat the price. My graphics card runs them with no noticeable banding or gradation. I'm going to order one more for our backup workstation.
- Cons: Minor, no height adjustment. My situation doesn't require any adjustment, but others may.
- Other Thoughts: No built-in foot massager, come on, get with it!
GREAT Monitor!
- Pros: This is an awesome monitor! NO dead pixels! BF2 looks awesome. Couldn't be any happier with it.
- Cons: None
