Good monitor
- Pros: Inexpensive. Sharp and good color rendition. Used for general use, photography, and limited video (TV)
- Cons: Not quite as sharp, to my eyes as my old 17inch LG. Stands to reason, I guess, it has the same number of pixels over a larger area.
- Other Thoughts: Need higher density monitors with higher contrast ratio for LCDs to penetrate graphics and photography. I use it 'cause it's easier. I may need to move to a 1600x1200 or beyond as they are available. This is okay for now.
A Happy Keeper!
- Pros: Delivered on time, unscathed, not a single bad pixel. Out of the box for setup, testing and calibration (about an hour's worth) and then straight into service - and my goodness, what a beauty! Bright, crisp picture, clean and simple design, decent quality plastics. After some careful adjustment, colors are true enough for light-duty photo editing and graphic design work. Virtually no video ghosting or pixelation using DVI feed at native resolution. And the price is definitely right. Me likey!
- Cons: There is some backlight leakage (a soft "aura") along top and bottom of screen, slightly worse at bottom - but only when there's no image and screen is very dark or black. But that doesn't bother me at all.
- Other Thoughts: I'd had my eye on this one for some time; my trusty old 17" CRT was about to die and I was hoping it would hold on until Newegg's price on this BenQ came down a bit. My prayers were answered and my dreams have come true! Now that I no longer have to peer into the business end of a cathode ray tube for hours on end, I've stopped worrying about searing my retinas with UHF radiation, and learnt to love my LCD. I'll never go back, and if you get one of these I'll bet you won't either.

Superb
- Pros: 2ms refresh rate, sharp picture, sleek look, sturdy build.
- Cons: It shows a BenQ screen before it fully turns on which is annoying, but almost every lcd monitor has those.
- Other Thoughts: I bought two of these a while back when they were on sale. It was a steal of a deal, and the monitors are amazing. Best decision I have ever made.
Great Monitor!
- Pros: This monitor is great for the price! The picture is clean, the response time completely got rid of the ghosting I was experiencing with my previous monitor, and the size is outstanding. Can't wait to buy another one!
- Cons: The stand is a bit flimsy and for some reason the edges of larger-sized text seems a bit. . . pixelated.
- Other Thoughts: Although the text could be related to my video settings, this monitor still has an excellent picture!
- Pros: Switched from a CRT monitor, and this monitor is amazing. I did a lot of comparisons between different monitors, and one of the main selling points for this monitor for me was the response time: 2ms. Not a single dead pixel. Very clear. I would recommend this monitor to anyone.
- Cons: None that I can see.
