Now twenty 22" LCD models...this is only one with HDMI!
- Pros: The screen is HUGE, bright and colors super. The slim matte-black bezel ROCKS: no reflections, no fingerprints like other 22" monitors. The HDMI input is so HOT for PS3 gaming & DVD widescreen movies!!! I can also have my desktop connected via DVI, PS3 via HDMI and laptop via VGA simultaneously and cycle between them by the push of a button - soooooo cool!
- Cons: The speakers SUCK. But if you buy any 22" monitor out now just for its 2-watt built-in speakers, you're a bag of fries short of a Happy Meal.
- Other Thoughts: Be sure you set your PS3 or DVD player to 480i/p, 720i/p or 1080i max. 1080p has artifacts. Also, like most of these 22-inchers, the stand is flimsy. But because the Sceptre is VESA 100mm compliant, I bought an after-market Ergotron Neo-Flex stand for $30. Now it tilts, swivels, even pivots 90 degrees! BTW: Newegg's fast delivery is the best!!!
Feeling Duped
- Pros: When it was working it was excellent. The USB and Mic/Headset ports were very convenient as well. Coupled with a ERGOTRON NEO-FLEX ARM, the setup really cleaned up my deskspace.
- Cons: The DVI port failed after 2.5 months of use. The included stand and speakers are terrible. The good news is they still work, unlike the DVI port.
- Other Thoughts: Every place I've visited reviewing this product for answer to the DVI failure, simply echo's the majority of the reviews here at newegg. Massive DVI/HDMI port failures with no fix or recall in the future from Sceptre except to keep RMA'ing it for a new DVI port/circuit. I guess the big question is when will the cost of insured shipping back for RMA's over take the value of this otherwise nice display. In my opinion, I would not buy this product until a permanent solution has been reached by Sceptre for this product. Do yourself a favor and steer clear.

Horrible!
- Pros: When the DVI worked, it was a pretty decient monitor.
- Cons: Where to begin? First , it came with a stuck pixel which has remained stuck since I got it, right in the middle of the screen, very anoying and Sceptre wouldnt do anything for me, after trying 4 times to get ahold of there CS, who then I could barely understand. Ok, anoying in dark screens but got use to it. The the DVI stoped working a few months later, so forced to use vga. After some time I tried DVI again, it worked but the screen was so choppy I couldnt stay on it, so back to vga again. Now, when booting up the computer, the screen freezes and I cant turn off the monitor without unplugging it, and sometimes after its been on for a while, again the power and all the menu buttons on the side will not function.
Stay away from this monitor, this proves very true, you get what you pay for, the price is nice, but in the long run, well what else can I say.

Legal Action!!!!! Bad Product
- Pros: When this LCD worked it was beautiful. The cost is great!
- Cons: Even after all the reviews New Egg is still selling this monitor. I was lucky to have my DVI port last for at least 11 months. No reason the screen would only boot up with Red particles. I tried the DSUB cable and the monitor works fine. I did an RMA and was without my monitor for over a month and paid for shipping. It worked for 2 months and the DVI port went out again and this time black screen. DSUB works fine. When I bought this it came with HDMI, DVI Cable, DSUB Cable. I had ordered a second one for my wife. Same price NO HDMI, NO DVI Cable. And yes the speakers sound horrible on both. I am out of warranty and stuck with C R A P! DO NOT BUY THIS MONITOR!!!!!!!!! I am using all these reviews to build a case against SCEPTRE..
- Other Thoughts: To New Egg: Try reading some of the reviews of your customers and question the products you sale. We put reviews on here to protect other consumers and help them buy good product..
RMA is Nesscary
- Pros: HDMI, DVI, VGA, Fast Response, High Contrast, Very sleek!
Great customer service. Paid for shipping to and from, not a penny out of my pocket to get it RMD'd.
- Cons: Annoying blinking blue LED while in suspend, at least its preety blue. HDCP over HDMI ONLY! Ports broke after 1 month use. I contacted sceptre and they handled everything and even paid for shipping both ways TO and FROM! I haven't had one problem since the RMA and my Moniter is on ALL THE TIME!
- Other Thoughts: Give sceptre a chance!
