A good monitor
- Pros: Large, bright and good looking. This monitor lacks the dumb light up decals at the bottom of the screen and visual distractions found on some monitors. The screen stays bring from all angles: everything is very legible up to 45 degrees from looking straight at it, and still quite visible from even more skew angles. After an evening of playing back some HD movies, I can say that this looks very good--sharp transitions, no ghosting, good color. (Ignore reviews that look like they were written by people based on the numbers--"5ms grey-to-grey isn't that good"--rather than on the experience of using this monitor.) Mine has one dead pixel, which is a hell of a lot better than one stuck on green but still frustrating.
- Cons: The screen has a little bit of back-light bleeding at the top and bottom that is noticable when the monitor is black. Also, color definitely changes with view angle, especially vertically, e.g. looking at single color file that should be 256 green 56 blue, the patch looks bluer at the bottom than at the top. This isn't very noticable. There are a few other cons that I think are very minor: the DVI plug in the back is a slightly tight fit with the cable; there's a dumb dime-sized "vista certified" sticker on lower left biut of the frame.
- Other Thoughts: This is a good buy period. Per dollar spent, it's great. The cons are pretty minor; I don't notice the bleeding during normal operation and I quickly zone it out during movies. The color fidelity are also easy to ignore. The rest of the cons are so minor that they would be made up for by five dollars savings. Note that there is a VGA but no DVI cable included in the price. DVI cables are inexpensive.
Great Monitor for Price
- Pros: At my house in 2 days w/ reg shipping. Newegg is awesome! This monitor is awesome. 1080p is insane w/ dvi.(it is actually true 1050p but not a huge difference) It has a nice viewing angle and size for more than one application at a time. I can write papers for college and surf web for information while both showing all of the Programs. Great for photo/video editing. I use Sony vegas and Adobe photoshop and this is a perfect picture for not making those small mistakes.
- Cons: Speakers are not the best..but the monitor is worth the 209 dollars. Don't like the small buttons at bottom, you get mixed up on the ones you are pressing and gets really anoying..but for the most part a great monitor.
- Other Thoughts: Great for gaming...and with the right cables you can play your xbox 360 or DVD player in 1080p.
System:AMD 64 X2 5200, 2gb of Corsair XMS2's,WD 16 mb cache 250gb sata HD, evga nvidia 7950 512mb superclocked GPU. Asus M2N SLI Delux, 580 watt PS, LIte on DVD-RW w/ lightscribe, and of course...this new awesome monitor!

Good monitor
- Pros: Good picture, cheap price, this monitor has performed flawlessly for well over a year now not much else to say.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: I have bought three of these now one for myself the others for my mother and aunt these are great monitors I would recommend to anyone.
Good Monitor, Good Price
- Pros: Have had it for over 2 years and everything works the way it is supposed to work. Everything looks good in this monitor. Very good price.
- Cons: The plastic case and the buttons in the front look and feel cheap, but that is what I expected. It came with a dead pixel, but it didn't bother me so I kept it, and in the 2 years that I have had it no other dead pixels have appeared.
Worth The Money
- Pros: I bought this when it first hit the market around $300 and I've had it for almost 5 years now and the picture is still going strong. Never had a problem with it whatsoever. Good brand and good quality products.
- Cons: The base for this product seems flimsy, as if the monitor will fall, but it will not fall. It is very sturdy and will keep it upright on the cheapest put together desks like mine. ;-]
- Other Thoughts: Spend a few more bucks and get the bigger one, I'm sure all of their products are just as good as the next.
