5 out of 5 eggsSolid TV/Monitor

Pros: Great picture, nice widescreen display. HD input works especially well with Xbox 360 and cable TV.

Cons: none yet

Other Thoughts: Great TV and monitor for the price.

4 out of 5 eggspower problems

Pros: The picture and features are good, and I like the fact that the tv is easy to move around because it is very light. It's a good deal if you can get one that has no problem

Cons: I only have the tv for 2 days and since day one I'v been having problems with the power. The tv shuts down about every ten mins. I have to unplug it and wait for it to reset witch takes about 5 mins. Then plug it back up and repeat the process about every 15 mins.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Television

Pros: Great picture and as others have said, best with digital sources. The speakers work surprisingly well and the built in SRS feature does quite nicely. HD channels on my digital cable service look fantastic, especially sports. Lots of input options and nice features such as PIP/PBP. The menu and user manual is very easy to navigate and understand.

Cons: Quality of the remote control leaves a bit to be desired. For the price and quality of the television itself this is a small complaint.

Other Thoughts: The stats on the NewEgg page are slightly off. The user manual and box it comes in states a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 1366x768 resolution. Televisions at Best Buy / Circuit City with the same specifications cost several hundred dollars more. Overall an excellent, quality product.

1 out of 5 eggsPiece `O` Cra....

Pros: Newegg is the awesome as always. Fast-reliable-service
The TV has average quality HDTV

Cons: The TV is 3 weeks old and will not power on. Newegg will not accept it back and the MFG only repairs the TV (never replaces it)

Other Thoughts: STOP!!! DON'T BUY THIS I definitly got what I paid for. I shoulda spent the extra money instead of being a cheap as...I'll stop before I get rude...

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Amazing quality with DVD's, and as a PC monitor for games. With the DVD player the movies looked so great and detailed also so great that for examples movies like Star Wars 3: Revenge of the Sith looked amazing and LOTR: Return of the King never looked better.

The brighness/contrast is great (very bright and not opaque)

I recommend this LCD HDTV for it's cost/efficience, Technically speaking it's extremly cheap and has an amazing quality with the frame/picture.
One last thing, it didn't have any dead pixels which is a great thing.

Cons: Only bad thing is this amazing tv doesn't have the DVI imput and no self turning on timer or a clock on the tv.

Other Thoughts: Tho this is a sleeper brand and not as famous as other brands. Yet it is still as good in quality and more than half or more less expensive yet my previous experience with this brand (my computer monitor for years) has shown me how good this brand is. Hence seen the current price I gave it no thought and bought it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great picture! It looks best when using a digital source (DVD, HDTV reciever, Xbox 360)Sound is pretty decent as well, the on screen menus are realy well done, PIP feature is an added bonus along with being able to display anything from 480p-1080i

Cons: Non-digital sources suffer a little with the picture becoming blurry on some stations.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat computer experience

Comments: I always wanted to own a widescreen TV, and budgeting to buy one i happened to realize that it could be my monitor to.. i got really exited. Then i found this one.. It's not a major brand, (and i am a brand guy.. or let's say i am a Sony guy.), but it's widescreen, lcd, with the speakers on the side, as i like it. With 27'', hdtv and a bunch of other stuff. When i saw the price i bought it. 850 is at least half the price of a brand similar, and with almost all the advantages. BUT two question marks and one flaw. Medium resolution: 1280X760 is the standart res on 17 inches monitors. On this one looks big... It's not bad.. actually is really good, but i rather have mor desktop space, instead, i'm having a 12 inches msn dialogue box.. great. Reading problems never more... And finalizing with two questions: - Can AOC be quality trust sonylike?? (nothing sony ever wreck with me).. If anything happen, can AOC provide adequate tecnical support in US? For both last answers i just hope so.. For everything else, i just give 5 stars, laid back and enjoy it.
