Best deal right now
- Pros: -Widescreen format.
-Price.
-Response time.
-No dead pixels.
-Minimalist, lightweight design.
I love the widescreen at this size. It's not so large that you have to crane your neck to take in the whole picture. You can place it far away from you on the desk and still read everything without turning your head OR straining your eyes to make out tiny fonts. It's also wide enough to work on two documents side by side, which is great for programming and document editing. It's the perfect size for working with documents--better than bigger monitors, actually.
- Cons: -TN panel.
-6-bit dithered color, not true 8-bit
-Slight silkscreening of solid mid-tones.
-Stand is not very adjustable (but you can always get a better one).
The only flaw is that, like most TN panels, this one sacrifices color fidelity and viewing angles for response time. The fast response makes it a bargain gaming monitor, but a bad choice for photo work. Dark grays may look black, so beware if you play a lot of dark games. The viewing angles are mediocre, and colors will fade to black at off angles, so it's much better for movie watching if you are right in front of it. A slight silkscreen (horizontal flicker) effect is obvious with solid mid-tone backrounds, but unless your desktop is solid gray, you won't notice it.
The stand is functional but not very adjustable. It only tilts, it does not swivel or pivot, and it is not height adjustable. You can always get a new stand if you want.
- Other Thoughts: Perfect size monitor for document editing or programming. Bargain for gaming and multimedia, as long as you can sit directly in front of it. It's as good as you can get right now at this size, but true 8-bit 19" wide panels are supposed to be released here this year--they'll still be TN, though. No regrets about the purchase.
- Pros: So far this monitor has been nothing BUT, AWSOME..playing First person shooters, browsing the web, watching WIDESCREEN MOVIES...pretty much anything you do on this monitor looks clean and sleek. This is well worth the money, seeing how there arnt many other 19 inch wide screen monitors on the market, this one takes the cake. This monitor is the best bang for your buck as far as quality, screen size, and picture are concernd. I have bought 1 so far...and yes...i am GONNA BUY ANOTHER!!!!! with tax and shipping it came out to 303$...i mean.. cmon...you cant get a better deal then this..5 stars FROM ME! >8D
- Cons: if there are any cons you will hear them in the future...but none so far.
- Other Thoughts: i have only found 3 or 4 other 19 inch wide screen monitors on the market...Acer's 1913w, or 1916w(very hard to find). The other here on newegg.com from view sonic that is out of stock till like mid march and this lovely one here.

Amazing and inexpensive
- Pros: The contrast and clarity is superb. I get comments on it frequently.
- Cons: The video cable is low quality. I purchased a long double shielded cable and I've never seen better quality from a monitor.
Needs more cowbell.
- Other Thoughts: To anyone thinking that 19" widescreen is huge, it isn't. It is just nice. Definitely recommend a shielded VGA cable; it'll look like DVI.

- Pros: Very clear picture fast response time. No dead pixels after a year. High quality for a low price!
- Cons: The stand sits too low and is not hight adjustable.
- Other Thoughts: I paid xxx a year ago now is only xxx. I would recommend this one if in search for a inexpensive monitor.
