Put HD on your desk with DoubleSight's DS-265W HD monitor. This 26" screen has a 1920x1200 resolution and a wide 178° viewing angle. When you factor in the 500cd/m² brightness rating and 3000:1 contrast ratio you get a great picture that everyone can see. A 5ms GTG response time minimizes ghosting and stuttering.
Not only does the monitor come with a D-Sub and an HDCP compliant DVD-D connector. You also get a component video input. The component input comes with a stereo audio input. The 5w speakers deliver plenty of sound without being overpowering.
The extra stable stand has height, tilt and swivel adjustments so you can position the display just how you want to. There is also a pivot adjustment so you can switch between portrait and landscape modes.

Looks Good on Paper Reality is Much Different
- Pros: IPS, Video Ports, Assortment of Cables, Size, Colors
- Cons: Quality of display is garbage, light leaks, red pixel bleeds on full black, 3 year warranty sends you refurbished monitor plus you pay shipping (company is in California), Panel buttons very cheap quality (think toy cell phone), stand feels flimsy.
- Other Thoughts: DoubleSight sends customers refurbished LCD's and doesn't label them "refurb" didn't think that was even legal. First LCD I got no color issues and/or dead pixels but LCD buttons completely non functional. Second monitor I was sent was a refurbished unit (no sticker on LCD saying it was but scratched and non new cables aside from the red bleeding pixels gave it away). Brand new unit replaced by a scratched up and light bleeding refurb, unreal.
So they sent me a 3rd LCD that was also used looking and had a dead pixel and red pixel bleeding when on a black screen.
Absolutely never buy another double sight no matter how good the specs look on paper. The should label there LCD's B stock.
Not worth the risk for the price.
- Pros: No dead or stuck pixels. Very bright, vivid colors. Low input lag. V-shaped stand nicely fits on my desk. External power brick keeps heat outside of the chasis. Contrast and gamma settings pretty accurate at default settings.
- Cons: No backlight control, only black level control. First top row of pixels sometimes flicker strangely, which may be an overdrive artifact or defective DVI cable, I'm not sure. OSD controls are the worst I've ever seen on any monitor, and the buttons are very hard to use. No A-TW polarizer.
- Other Thoughts: If you are considering getting an large IPS monitor, I would recommend against this DS due to the shoddy implementation. The LG screen is amazing, but at full brightness it is so blinding it gives me a headache, and there is no way to lower the backlight level. Also the top pixel row flickering, although almost never noticeable, is very odd. Note that there is no HDMI input, even though there is a label for one on the chasis.
P.S. - The Manual and label stickers are written in the most hilarious Engrish I've ever seen.

If you get a good one, this is a gorgeous screen
- Pros: Sharp details, extremely good price
- Cons: It might take you a while to get one that works correctly. This is my second RMA. It was worth it!
- Other Thoughts: I gave this monitor a poor review earlier because I received a broken one. Depite the pain of getting it shipped back to newegg, I'm extremely happy with it now that I have a working model with no defects at all.
Great Deal
- Pros: 26" H-IPS (same panel as the NEC 2690WUXi and Planar PX2611) for $400? Wonderful, also competes with top TN panels for low lag rates (great for those FPS fanatics).
- Cons: Wide Gamut may not be for all users, and the the stand can get wobbly at times.
- Other Thoughts: Basically a "budget" version of the NEC 2690WUXi and Planar PX 2611. The panel on mine originally arrived w/multiple cracks in the panel; Newegg was great and sent me a new one within a week. I also didn't have to pay for shipping out the broken one. +1 for Newegg's fast and polite customer service.
Worth what I paid for it.
- Pros: -IPS Panel. -Good colors, good viewing angles. Nice picture.
-Speakers. -They suck, but it's an added bonus. -Polarizer. -I'm no expert, but I don't see reds at angles. -No dead pixels. -I think I'm fortunate to have received a monitor without any. -The stand. -It seems relatively sturdy and it's fully adjustable. -Games. - No Ghosting that I could see. It looks pretty good!
- Cons: -Inconsistent backlighting. -The backlight on the lefthand side of the screen by the edge is not as bright as the rest of the screen. All of the edges of the screen appear a little dimmer than the middle.
-Brightness. -The backlight cannot be adjusted. Brightness CAN BE adjusted on black level only. The backlight is much too bright in my opinion. The colors suck if you lower it too far. -Buzzing noise. - My power supply also makes a buzzing noise whenever the monitor is displaying a picture. I hate buzzing noises. It's pretty annoying. -Automatic Full-Screen on lower resolutions. - Sometimes I don't want it to do this for me and I'd rather view a smaller box. I have no choice. -No HDMI or Displayport inputs. -Seems like they're becomming the new standard.
- Other Thoughts: The backlighting gives me a headache. I can't open an internet window at full screen or it's blinding.
A high quality TN costs about the same thing as this low quality IPS. That's the cross-shopping I did. Too many cons to deserve more than 3 eggs. I'm satisfied with my purchase, not overjoyed.
