Solid for price
- Pros: Great price for size monitor. Good compatibility, for XP at least. USB is resposive with usually no lag in communication to pc.
- Cons: Unit seems a bit heavy but Im no expert on touchscreen monitor weight and it dosent bother me much anyway.
- Other Thoughts: This unit has both USB and Serial connections, Im not sure why its not clearly listed in the specifications.
Xorg7.2 requires updated drivers
- Pros: Monitors are working great.
- Cons: Xorg update breaks the linux driver but source code can be obtained by contacting company that manufactures the touch panel.
- Other Thoughts: Linux driver update. The "gtouch" touch panel that is used in this monitor is manufactured by Higgstec. The drivers that ship with the monitor do not work with Xorg 7.2 (they work with previous revisions). I emailed higgstech and they sent me the source which compiles very easily for Xorg 7.2. Hopefully they will post updated binaries here:

One more thing...
- Pros: Ooops, I meant to rate it as a 5. And not to confuse anyone, the windows drivers support USB/serial, only the linux drivers are serial only.

- Other Thoughts: And one more thing. When calibrating, you need to touch the x-hairs for a second or more. Initially I was tapping the screen like you would during normal use and it wouldn't register the touch.
