Look no further than the Tyris T701DB if you plan on upgrading your display to a 17" LCD monitor! The high brightness, excellent contrast ratio and 8ms response deliver beautiful color reproduction and crisp text. Wrapped in a polished black bezel, this monitor boasts both Analog and DVI ports and is wall mountable. For your security, it is Kensington lock ready, and has a one year limited warranty.
Pros: Beautiful design. As you can see in the pictures the face of this monitor has a rounded bevel type look which adds class to it. Ran quite a few lcd tests and guess what... NO DEAD PIXELS!!!! Not only is this a very inexpensive monitor, but for the price you get DVI included. There are some more expensive monitors that do not include DVI. Overall, I am very pleased with this monitor (so far). Also, their service facility is local for me (somewhere in California). Nice monitor for a nice price.
Cons: None so far.

Awesome Monitor / Small Problem

Pros: The monitor worked great right out of the box, no problems or dead pixels.
Cons: After a few months of using the monitor under regular use, it just stopped working properly. The monitor would stay on for a few seconds and then go black. Turning off, then back on gave the same result. Had to send it in for service, but they seemed pretty nice about it.
Other Thoughts: If in fact I just recieved a defective monitor, then I wouldn't worry about it too much. Electronics aren't made well these days. This is an otherwise awesome monitor at a great price.

Pros: was a good monitor
Cons: however when it died 10 months later, the company is not answering the phone, nor replying to any emails to honor thier warranty. I will never buy this brand again.
Other Thoughts: stick with better known companies and pay the extra $$$ to avoid what I am going through.

Pros: Clear picture, handled games and apps that I run. No dead pixels in all the time it ran.
Cons: At 14 months, out of the blue, the monitor started cycling on and off and is totally unusable.
Other Thoughts: E-mailed Tyris customer service two + weeks ago, no response...Will not recommend this brand, nor will I buy another.

Pros: Cheap, good picture, pretty big screen real estate for the price
Cons: Unreliable, muted colors
Other Thoughts: I've had this monitor for just under a year. For the first 11 months I was extremely happy with it. Recently it has started to freak out and I'm sure it's on its way out. The screen gets all full of visual noise and sometimes just blurry. I have to turn it off and on again to clear it up. I'm sure it won't last much longer.

Pros: Good monitor for the price at the time, I also payed attention to the reviews. But....
Cons: 4 Months after I bought monitor it was flashing on and off and then stopped working. I sent it back they repaired it. I feel they should have replaced it becacuse now after 2 months it is now acting up again. I have a red screen. Check all cables and even tried another monitor but I think this one is dying. Don't buy this monitor.
