Pros: Does what it says on the tin! Saves you major money over time.

Cons: Doesn't support DOCSIS 3.0, once your provider rolls it out.

Other Thoughts: The connection can be a little spotty, but it was that way with Comcast's way-too-expensive leased modem, too. Seems I just live in an unreliable service area.

Cons: Got 1 and it was working half-way. Meaning it would only get comcast speed half way. Place comcast modem worked. Did a RMA got it after a week of waiting. Then that one didn't even work at all.

Other Thoughts: These I see are coming defective reading all the post. I got 2 of them a year ago and they are still working. Got one for my mom, and my friend and theres are still working for over a year. Saved a ton of money instead of renting from comcast; especially since the first one I got a year ago had free shipping and only cost 19.99

Newegg came thru with there customer service. They paid for the shipping 5 times and still was able to get my original shipping money back. THanks
P.s NEWEGG after all these reviews of DOA Test anything that is refurb or not like new to avoid paying for shipping.

Pros: Good price for a refurb and it saves me $5 per month on my cable bill. After 4 months it will have paid for itself. Speed for downloads and uploads are just as fast as the modem I was renting.

Cons: Came with a dead power supply. It wasn't worth the effort, time, money to return the unit just because of a bad power supply. It would've been nice if I could just have sent the bad wall wart in for a functioning one.

Other Thoughts: I have it running with a universal (adjustable) power supply right now but the value of that is more than what I paid for the unit. My suggestion: If it doesn't work when it comes in just send it back for a replacement right away.

Pros: Awesome product for an awesome price. Works like a charm with no problems to set up.

Other Thoughts: Don't let the "re certified" scare you. It is just as good as new and glad that I purchased it. Replaced cable company's modem with this one and great price.

Pros: Low price, high-speed. It easily handled Comcast's fastest package offered in our area.

Cons: I got a dud and did not figure it out until after 30 days had expired. I had intermittent connection problems about every 10 hours.

Other Thoughts: Comcast kept telling me that my problem was with my modem. I doubted that chalked it up to the fact that I was not leasing their modem (Comcast charges for on-site visits if you don't lease their modem and they determine it is your modem.) Sure enough, after using a different modem and not having the problems I had to admit Comcast was right! I was outdone by Comcast tech support. My ego will never be the same and neither will my modem.

Pros: Had it for almost a year now, no issues, better speed than the Moto it replaced. No rental fee. More stable, the old modem was having connection problems constantly.

Cons: none, I paid under twenty bucks for it on sale and it has already paid for its self.

Other Thoughts: I will be replacing this soon stepping up to a fast modem but for this technology, this is a great modem

Cons: DOA. Plugged it in.....no lights, no power.

Other Thoughts: Bought it refurbished. Unfortunately, my Cable installation came more than 30 days from purchase so I am totally out of luck. I have to deal directly with Linksys. Wish me luck with that!

Pros: Works right out of the box with no problems or install disc. Just contact your ISP and give them the new mac address for them to give you internet access.

Cons: No power switch. Unplugging it to turn it off seem ghetto.

Other Thoughts: I bought the RM model (refrubished) with zero issues. Modems burn out right away or last years and the RM is proven that it lasts.

Pros: Working fine for 3 months now. No problems. Connection speed is still as fast as my old Moto-Surfboard. Price.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Some people are worried about re-certified items. I got the modem and a 2 year Newegg Replacment Plan for less than the cost of a new modem. (Which only has a 1 year warranty - not replacement plan)

Pros: Looking nice only!Dead on me right after the warranty past. Can"t work with any router!

Cons: Very disipointed.
