Awesome Sound to go with AwesomeSauce
- Pros: I've used these things quite a bit over the past year and I'd just like to say that the sound quality is great, maybe not as good as, say a sennheiser stereo headset, but then again, those don't have the directionality*

- Cons: This headset does *not* provide any form of true surround sound, even if it had 8 speakers like the advertising leads me to believe, it uses DPS to re-create the volume and timing differences between the speakers, which means the inevitable latency and inaccuracy of working with finite numbers that have been parred down.
When a sound comes from your right, you hear it in both ears, but with a timing and volume difference, this is what the DPS tries to create, but it does so without having the knowledge of how far apart your ears are (how big the timing and volume difference really should be) so your brain (which is conditioned to respond only to accurate signals) ignores some of the data within the sound, filtering out what does not fit, these headphones are like prescription glasses, they work for some people, but not for all, for the people they don't work for the sound quality is destroyed, and they only see "blurry sound" like their glasses have the wrong prescription.
- Other Thoughts: Hope you guys can understand this a little better so you aren't mislead by what this headset really offers.
If you want the opinion of somebody who has worked in Psychoacoustics (the study of how the brain hears sound) for the past 12 years, get a real surround sound headset, such as the Psyko 5.1 gaming headset (google it)
Three hundered bucks ain't bad for a perfect surround sound setup... I have a set and they truly out rock any other headset in any situation.
G35 No Likey Big Heads
- Pros: Solid build quality; the controls on the headset are a love-it or hate-it feature (I love it). Software was simple to install but the headset worked right out of the box without it.
- Cons: Too small for my head. Fully extended I could not get the earcups down over my ears. Granted, I have a VERY big head, and this is not the first time I've had this problem. On the other hand, most headsets fit my melon when fully extended. Was also excruciatingly tight on the ears.
- Other Thoughts: I can't wait for the next G-series headset. If more comfortable and larger, I will definitely try them. My experience with the G35 has sent me down a path of discovery. I've now tried the G3d, the Razer Charcarias, the Plantronics GameCom 777, and the Sennheiser pc350s. So far the PC350s are my favorite (sterero only), although I'm not blown away by them. Build quality and comfort are top notch. I will also be trying the Tritton Ax51 Pro's, the Razer Megalodons, and the Turtle Beach AK-R8's.
I'm not sure that "virtual" surround works for me very effectively, based on my experience with the 777s, my current Plantronics 770s and the limited experience I had with the G35s. I'm hoping that the Trittons or Turtle Beach headsets will work better for my ears.

best i've owned
- Pros: extremly comfy, excently sound quality, braided chord, swapable headbands.
- Cons: doesn't get very loud imo. i used to have a gamecon 377 and a creative x-fi go setup and the g35 doesnt compare in volume level.
- Other Thoughts: great for gaming. use this for cod4 and can hear people like never before. takes a bit of getting used to though, cause all the game sounds like the leaves and grass kinda throw me off.

- Pros: The sound is very clear. As stated in other reviews, I thought it was my speakers and you dont have to turn the volume high either. I listen to a lot of music of all kinds and play games. It works well for all of the above.
- Cons: price.
- Other Thoughts: Buy it if you have some cash to blow on headphones... well worth the price tag in MY OPINION.
Great Headset
- Pros: Incredibly strong construction. The sound quality is all around exceptional; sound is clear, the surround sound works as advertised and I get complements on how clear the microphone is.
- Cons: Becomes a little uncomfortable after extended use (usually about 3 hours +).
- Other Thoughts: The software seems like a missed opportunity. The voice morphing does not seem to work too well for me and the options for the G1-G3 keys are very limited. Logitech if you are reading this please allow me to link my preferred music players to the G keys, not everyone uses itunes and media player.
