Pretty...
- Pros: This thing is a nice upgrade from my old Microsoft optical mouse. It's a LOT more responsive and has a nice feel to it. I like the ability to adjust the dpi settings on-the-fly. When I'm cruising around in Windows I have the dpi setting at 800, then right before I start up a game I bump it up to 1600 (I tried 1600 dpi in Windows and it was just too sensitive...but for gaming its perfect). Also, when I first started using the mouse I thought the wheel had a little too much resistance to it. However, after having a few days to used to it I'm fine with it now. I also like the ability to switch the side buttons and the lights are a nice touch as well (If the lights aren't your style you have the ability to turn them of in the software). For the most part its a great mouse however, there are some drawbacks.......
- Cons: When I first got the mouse I tried to upgrade the firmware from ver. 1.00 to 2.01. I went to Razer's site (via update button in the software menu) found the latest drivers/firmware and downloaded them. Before I attempted anything I read the instructions VERY carefully (twice even) to make sure I didn't mess anything up. First I attempted to upgrade the firmware and the update failed (3 times). So, after giving up on the firmware I decided to upgrade the software/drivers. This install went fine but, when I would try to make a change via the software (dpi, polling rate, etc) the program would stop responding and I would have to kill it using the task manager. So, I rolled the software/drivers back to ver 1.00 and now everything is peachy. DO NOT UPGRADE THE DRIVERS OR FIRMWARE THE MOUSE WORKS FINE WITH VER.1.00 (unless you're a masochist or something)
- Other Thoughts: I contacted Razer's customer support over the phone when I was having the probs mentioned above. As soon as I mentioned the mouse I had the rep very hastily informed me they didn't support this product (even though they manufactured the internal components and its their software and drivers that you install to use the mouse) and to contact Microsoft. I go to the website and there is virtually no mention of the thing from a support standpoint. Basically this mouse is like the crazy family member that no one likes to talk about. So for the crazy software issues and the complete lack of support from both Microsoft and Razer I had to give only three eggs even though the mouse itself performs very well
I'm in love
- Pros: It has the comfotablility of the old Microsoft optical mice, that so many people have grown to love, combinded with pin point precision, accuracy and response that the Razer Copperhead offers. Adjustable side panels to fit most hands and extremely comfortable with well designed placement of buttons.
A 7 button mouse that can be used for much more than just gaming. Browsing and Photoshop work come to mind when looking at this mouse.
This is my new found love for a gaming mouse and I think any serious gamer should atleast try it, especially if you are a Microsoft 3.0 fan.
- Cons: I personally don't see cons with this product but there can be some with other people.
The LED is pretty bright and the "on the fly" sensitivity seems to be in odd placement to not make it very "on the fly friendly". It's also pretty expensive.
I personally don't mind the LED lighting because it matches the rest of my computer and I don't know any true gamer who uses "on the fly" sensitivity control in the middle of games and that includes myself.
- Other Thoughts: This mouse is what I've been waiting for, for a very long time. I was extremely tired of faulty products from other big companies so I hope this mouse has a good life span.
I wasn't a fan of Razer's shape and comfort level of mice but I really enjoy their engine technology. The very opposite goes for Microsoft's product for me. So, for me, this mouse is the perfect combination of comfort and precision and I plan on using this product for a very long time.

- Pros: works very well really enjoy using it
- Cons: none
Great Product
- Pros: The mouse has an outstanding fit in ones hand. It also lights up blue to tell you that its working. The blue light is helpful at night especially because the mouse is black. The disk set with one that I bought contained the up-to-date drivers and firmware.
- Cons: Not really a con because the price is clearly stated, but it is a little on the expensive side. This comes from me only paying dimes for mice at retail stores, and collecting ones that come packaged with computers that I have ordered through the years. I'm cheap when it comes to mice and keyboards!!
- Other Thoughts: The mouse also comes with another side plate that you can put on, to adjust the mouse to the size of your hand. I my self have big hands so the default plate that came with already installed on the mouse fit really well. To see how easy it was to snap the other one on I tested it and all you have to do is push a button on the underside of the mouse and snap the other plate in. This is also a USB mouse. I know saying that it's USB is a given but some people don't read the specifications so, I'm saying it in the review that it's a USB mouse.
Best mouse I've ever owned!
- Pros: I've always liked Microsoft mice because they fit my hand perfectly. This is by far the best mouse I have ever owned! Nice feel, 7 buttons + mwheelup and mwheeldown make it an awesome gaming mouse. Many switchable features to customize it for whether you're gaming, surfing the net or whatever. Switchable on the fly dpi adjustment thats awesome for games. It also comes with a 2nd set of side (thumb) buttons that are positioned differently so you can setup your thumb buttons how it feels best for you. Excellent mouse.
- Cons: None at all
- Other Thoughts: I'll never buy another type of mouse again.
