Research before you buy

Pros: If you are in to FPS, SIMS, Strategy games that use a 3D engine, and you have a CRT monitor, or enjoy viewing Stereo Images or even 3D movies this is a very good product.
Cons: You need to use a CRT. You may have to set up the game that you wish to play, wich can be a daunting task if you don't understand stereo vision. Some games use pre-rendering or are not 3d, which makes this product useless, as it can only produce the stereo effect through using the graphics cards rendering engine. eDimensional has a list on their sight of games that the glasses were tested on.
Other Thoughts: Do your research before you buy somthing and are dissapointed because it doesn't work like you thought. I have owned the wireless version of these glasses, which I purchased after my wife got interested, so she could see at the same time :-), for over two years, and logged several hours without a hitch. I also use them to view my own stereo photographs.
eDimensional and a few other companies have different versions of these shutter glasses that are more than worth looking in to. I believe that some of them, from eDimensional, are supposed to even work with LCD monitors though I couldn't speak as to the quality of those models.

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: easy to hook up the hardware, UPS came on time as always, and Newegg gives great prices
Cons: nvidea drivers only work on old nvidea graphics cards, if you got geforce 8800 your outta luck. nvidia stopped making updates for the drivers permanently. tried it on unreal tournement 3, half life, and ghost recon. i got nothing out of unreal, ghost recon froze my computer, and half life had some major graphical problems. it only double imaged certain objects in the game like boxes and doors, but not the environment, and made my gun so large it protruded through the environment 20 feet away. when the Liquid crystal dims it doesnt fully block the light so you still get some double image when wearing the glasses and sometimes it even goes out of sync and looks just as bad as without the glasses. and even if they did work, they would still make you look like an idiot.
Other Thoughts: i tried it on an lcd monitor and a CRT monitor, both flickered and gave bad headaches. it pretty much just looks like your crossing your eyes and blinking alot. it wouldnt be so bad if they would just come out with a list of games and graphics cards that truly support the glasses. in case you were wondering, it doesnt work with 3d studio max or zbrush. doesnt seem to work with anything that ive thrown at it. ill give it another couple chances, but so far i think ill send it back. playing a game in 1080p widescreen with surroundsound through a DVI cable is as real as it gets... way better than a flickering 1024x768 out of focus, mind numbing, graphical error inducing, computer crashing VGA fuzzy waste of time and money.

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: it came with everything promised. Thanks Newegg. Doesn't interupt with game performance too much. Fun in theory.
Cons: Where do I start. Analog only, cuts resolution in half to utilize. Gives headaches. has not adapter if you have a video card that uses a different connector for 3d. cheaply made
Other Thoughts: dont buy this expecting anything more than what it is. its made to turn your picture similar to a 3d movie (80's drive-in technology)
