Pros: Drive burned excellent for about 200 DVD's & 100 CD's. Taiyo Yuden media 16x burns full DVD's in about 6 minutes. Full CD's burned in approx 2-3 minutes.

Cons: After 6 mos and at least 300+ burns, the drive died on me. It still works but now burns at 4x speed. Though it served me well while it lasted, I don't plan on buying another.

Pros: This DVD burner is very quite and works quickly. it hasn't woke me up at 3:15am when burning movies unlike my dead memorex did.... its a good set price for the DVD burner and hardly ever fails me.

Cons: does not like my LG CD-RW-DVD combo drive and it (WILL) shut it down if ever it sees it on xp or in system BIOS. if you buy this, be cautious that this thing likes to be the only drive on your system other than floppy and HDD.

Pros: Worked wonderfully, burned quick, never had a coaster.

Cons: After six months it decided it would only read discs if they were in upon booting up windows. And this alone granted a one-time disc read. The only way I could get it to read a dsic after that was to disable then re-enable the drive completely.

Other Thoughts: I did flash the firmware and everything I could think of.
