Comments: Haven't had any problems for over 6 months with it now. Burned plenty of things with it in the office. Not very noisy at all. Just a great DVD burner.

Comments: Had mine for 2 months now. Works 100%. I have two other Samsung DVD ROM/Burners and they have never had a problem. Use with Nero 6 updated (does +/- R DL) and you won't have any problems. But then I am using the more expensive Verbatim discs!!

Comments: This Samsung 16X DL drive was an excellent buy from Newegg. Combo deals and rebats being a faily recent add in here does allow for some good buying options if one has the patience for rebates and perservance to find the good deals.
This Samsung drive burns DVD Movies on a Single Layer disk in approximately 8 & 1/2 minutes using 16X rated RiData + R disks. My Plextor PX 712A (12X) is faster, but considering it's more than double cost the Samsung is a good performer for the price. I really appreciate it's quiet operation and good CD-R burn speeds.

Comments: I bought this DVD burner to burn some recruitment dvds for my fraternity. The burner worked smothly for about the first 10 but after that we had to throw about every 5th one out. It left cirlces on the edge where no burning had been done and we got a message that said hardware problen. Considerin the price we paid for the dvds and the price we paid for the burner we are satisfied though.

As with all drives, dosent work 100% with certain disks..I used Sony 16x Music CDs and they burned about 80% of the time no errors..With Verbatium DVD/CD media, not one error using Nero 6

Drive gets little hot in my centurion 5 on the front face plate, but nothing to be worried about.

Very good drive, just has some problems with burning DVDs at 12x (or whatever its rated at for DVD-R). May be my errors, but the speed on dvd burns may not be 100% consists for you program to program method to method burning..

Comments: This is a great DVD - CD burner. It has all the features I needed and it works great. It is also nearly silent when it spins up (my power supply fan is louder than this drive.) I highly recommend this product. Great Job (again) New Egg!!!

Comments: Super cheap, nice bundled software. Works with 64 bit windows. Have not had any trouble with the drive.

Comments: My odl burner took a dump on me recently so I decided to upgrade to a DVD-RW. I saw the price and figured it would be a bit slow and load but when I got it, it was quieter than the old drive. It is a bit slow reading CD-RW but what the heck. I can burn to DVD-RW to make sure the files are good and then go straight to the good media. With only one minor drawback I still give this drive a 5.

Comments: I don't know about you guys but this drive just rocks with me, works fine...burns fine -/+R.
