Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Extremely fast burning on all types of media.

Cons: Died with in about two months.

Other Thoughts: I trusted good reviews on this drive from everywhere and my drive died within two months. I didn't even mess with different firmwares and it started to not read CDs and then died. I shouldn't have defected from Plxxxor and Pxxxeer which have never failed before. Once again Newegg has provided a great service but I guess was unlucky.

Cons: for some reason when burning cds / dvds it only burns at 8.0x and less

i cant find any newer firmware out there for it either.

Definately Worth It

Comments: Picked this up about 3 weeks ago and have burned many of my extra files to DVD for storage

Havent had one coaster yet, and it burns fast and quiet
Well worth the buy

Thumbs up to Newegg on it also -- paid for the cheap 5-7 day shipping, but still got it 3 days after ordering :)
