Nice software - be sure to get the updates for it (lightscribe.com and lacie.com). I've burned several dozen lightscribe discs, they all look great. I like the quality of the image, my clients are impressed and I don't have to worry about my Sharpie writing skills! Cons: none. Did you find this review helpful? It was very easy to setup and is a good looking external drive. I have created some sweet silkscreens for some movies. Cons: The don't send the most recent software, you should download and install the lightscribe update. But really that is no problem Other Thoughts: I use the verbatim DVD-R Lightscribe disks. They have worked flawlessly for me. As for the darkness/lightness on the disk all that you need to do is: turn down the transparency, and hit best quality before "printing." the more time spent fiddling around with creating the silkscreens for DVDs the more you will appreciate not having to use a Sharpie. Plug in power, pop in installation CD (did have to download new drivers from website), and plug into my computer. For those who like to save a buck, they give you a free lightscribe DVD-R and CD-R. Cons: The images that are put onto the disk are lighter than I had planned, but still good. There may be a way to darken the entire disk label image, just havent spent enough time messing with it yet. Definitely looks a lot better and more professional than using a Sharpie marker.
