The compact, lightweight Canon PIXMA iP100 Mobile Printer fits easily onto a desk with limited space or into a carry-on, making it the perfect companion for your business travel. The PictBridge port gives you the option to print high-quality photographs from a compatible digital camera or DV camcorder without a computer. For those who frequently work from their car, an optional Automobile Power Unit is available so you can power the PIXMA iP100 directly through your car's power socket. Pros: Bought printer for my son's very small dorm room to work wirelessly with his laptop. Bought the bluetooth adapter with the printer from newegg and placed it "under" the side cover and it works great using the laptop "Zoom" Bluetooth PC-Card that I also bought from newegg. Waiting for the lithium-ion battery to arrive so it will be totally wireless. This way the printer can be stored out of site and easily set up for printing only when needed.... anywhere in the room.... with no wires at all. You get all functions of Canon driver thru bluetooth as you would through USB cable. Typical "Canon" outstanding print quailty and very quite. Manual say 250 pages per battery charge.
Cons: During set up you need to be careful installing the print-head into the carrier. Then the two ink cartridges install into the print head. Lots of instruction "flyers" come with printer to remind you to be gentle. Its just that to keep thinks small and light all the metal is thin. Its a quality build though. Newegg shipped the printer in it's Canon box and slapped a shipping label over printer serial number info. I'm not used to expensive computer components being shipped this way. Usually the manufacture's box is placed inside another box. In my case the Canon box did receive some wear & tear (including getting soft from being exposed to rain) during shipping but the contents were fine.
Other Thoughts: If you want to go Bluetooth wireless (and you should) be aware that you must use the Toshibia Bluetooth "Stack" driver and not the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack driver on Window's PC's. I found this out by going to Canon's website and downloading the "full" online manual. It has a very nice section on setting up Bluetooth. Anyway, no problem as newegg has a very nice "Zoom" brand Bluetooth PC-Card for laptops that uses the Toshiba Drivers. Just pop in the CD that comes with the PC-Card and follow directions. You can go to Toshiba's website and download latest "stack" driver later. It's a little tricky to get the upload to "take" but it will work. Newegg should offer the PC-Card as an optional bundle (with the printer)like they do the Canon printer's Bluetooth adapter. This way you get everything you need and know that they all work together. I wish newegg sold the battery too.

Pros: Good print speed and quality. Lightweight.
Cons: Below average build quality, especially the finish of the molded plastics. Crackling noises during operation as if a Ngear or two were broken - during operation (Maybe just mine). NO built-in wireless capability, have to purchase separate bluetooth plug-in.
Other Thoughts: Having owned several canon products, the build quality of this canon printer seems rather cheap.
The printer does its job but the noises don't make you feel confident. Mine at least sounds like its got a broken part inside.

iP100 & Bluetooth

Pros: Portable, wireless with bluetooth and battery, print quality and speed are better than I expected.
Doesn't require Canon bu-30 bluetooth adapter. I used the Cirago bta-3210 (purchased from newegg) on both my computer and the printer and had no problems printing.
Cons: Color ink comes as single unit. Canon bu-30 bluetooth adapter is very expensive. No carrying case though it fits in my lap top case.

Pros: Very expensive of piece printer,but not good on picture color,disqaility color.Honesty only good on printing back and white,
Cons: I bought this printer for my field service invoice printing,report picture taken,but color unquaility ,try to deep cleaning or adjust nozzel still doesn't see better picture color.some kinder recall product yet? I'm waiting for that matter ! Piece Scrap !!!!

Pros: Very Portable, Very Fast, & nicely accommdates the daily uses of having a portable printer in a big way. Also There are two places to connect the bluetooth adapter. I used the hidden usb connection which hides the adapter completely. sweet!
Cons: just be careful when setting up bluetooth. do a little reading about the adapter and the printer. It will save you some time.
Other Thoughts: You don't need to use the expensive canon adapter. I used a zoom bluetooth adpater. 20 bucks & works like a champ.
