Not completely satisfied
- Pros: Relatively quiet for the size of printer, ink appears to last a decent amount of time, isn't overly weighty or big, relatively fast 4"x6" photo printing, looks sleek?
- Cons: Poor 8 1/2"x11" paper tray, photo printing colors always come out with a yellowish tint, makes a lot of random movements/noise when not in use.
- Other Thoughts: I purchased this because it is relatively cheap, and the 4600 model had good reviews on the photo quality. I needed a printer that could do everyday printing as well as photo. I also purchased it because my late and great Photomate Deluxe printer ink is becoming incresingly difficult to find. I have run through the printer alignments as well as the photo adjustments via the Canon program, Windows printing, and Photoshop CS3 printing. The photos still come out with the yellowish tint. I can adjust the colors via photoshop to try and get them to come out right when I print, but why should I have to do additional adjustments just for priting? I would recommend another printer if photo printing is your thing.

- Other Thoughts: I needed a replacement for my old Pixma iP3000, which has worked well for me over the years, but was starting to have problems. The Pixma iP3600 seemed to fit the bill for what I needed, and the price can't be beat - especially when you get all 5 ink cartridges included. I prefer separate ink cartridges so if one color runs out you only need to buy that color. Also in my experience the quality seems to be better when separate ink cartridges are used instead of the "all colors in one" type.
I use the printer mainly to print color glossy DVD labels and 4x6 photos. It works great for both things. The photos look professional quality. No complaints except they didn't include a USB cable, but I just used the one from the old Pixma. Overall a good printer at a good price.

- Cons: Sadly, the day I receive the product, it was no recognize by windows. I followed every step and read every sentanses from the manual and still cant solve it.
so i contact canon and request an RMA. they soon reply and sent me the new one after couple of weeks. however, the second one is still DOA....Orz
I am trying to get the RMA again...egh!
Great Printer
- Pros: Its a good printer if you want to print cards, invitations, Photos etc.
- Cons: After a while the noise is bother some.
Better than the money spent
- Pros: Cost, easy use, extremely easy setup, love the bottom load tray(grandkids can't rip off paper to draw). Printed some pics on paper and they still looked real good. And of course NEWEGG rules the shipping lanes.
- Cons: Not yet, need to run it through the grind next printing project.
- Other Thoughts: THe only reason a 4 was marked is because I haven't had time to do much with this unit yet. But I believe in the Canon name brand, My i850 stiil works great, just not compatible with my 64bit system.
