Very nice printer
- Pros: This is clearly a nice product. Printing is rapid, precisely aligned between color guns, etc., the scanner is absurdly impressive. The unit just has a physical look suggesting a more expensive model. Drivers support no less than six quality modes---pages come out superb and quickly even in the middle modes...even when printing a whole pantheon of colors on one page.
- Cons: The driver controls and user-interface are clearly designed for unsophisticated users / applications. This is no surprise for a printer in this price range---any real serious heavy duty person who would need advanced controls wouldn't be buying this printer anyway. I imagine this "con" is actually a "pro" for most users considering a printer like this. No USB cable is annoying---I just got back from a national retail store whose initials are R.S., discovered it was 10x the price there, and just placed another New Egg order for the printer cable. Save yourself the trouble, buy the USB cable now, PAY the shipping for it, and it will still be cheaper than what you can at you-know-where.
- Other Thoughts: I can't imagine there is any printer at this price point which is even comparable to this HP. This is really quite nice for general light- or medium-duty printing at home or home office. Sure, I haven't owned it long, but I am convinced already that this is good stuff. By the way: Comes with instructions on how to get the thing working with Vista, if you care---I don't use Vista, so I can't confirm how it does with it.
Great printer with XP, Server 2003 and Linux!
- Pros: I have now purchased six of these things. I have used them on machines running XP, Server 2003 and Linux (Fedora FC6 and FC7). The printer works great with all of them.

- Pros: Replaced my HP 5150 printer & Epson 1650 scanner with the HP 5610 all-in-one officejet. Fast, print quality excellent and also will use the HP56 black toner cartridges that my 5150 used. Very user friendly, worked right out of the box and Fax setup was easy and quick.
- Cons: None at this time
- Other Thoughts: Using a Shuttle sn27P, Windows XP pro_sp3, Nvidia egGe Force 8600Gt, 2- 320G 16M Sata WD3200AAKS hard drives, AMD 65W 4600 cpu, Kingston Hyper X memory for personal/home business use. Pay attention to acceptible system black/color print cartridges if replacing an older printer and you have an existing supply of print cartridges.

- Pros: Excellent printer for the price range with its features. Does all the basics, can be set to conserve ink, and most simply it just works! Have sold many of these and they are rock solid! All of my customers have been very pleased with these units.
- Cons: Ink tanks are not big, and it doesn't hold more than about 40-50 sheets of normal paper, but then it isn't made to be a heavy printer either.
- Other Thoughts: Have sold 7 or 8 of these now, lost count. Actually had my FIRST bad one this week, the scanner wasn't turning on its light. NewEgg was ABSOLUTELY fabulous. They replaced the printer with free next day shipping (I requested it), and what really floored me is they are paying for the shipping of the defective one back to them! I wasn't even expecting them to do that for me! And I placed another order for one of these for yet another customer while replacing this one! Got to love the Egg! Oh and having free 3 day shipping for these SAVES money! Get them while they have that!
