I'll Never Buy A Wired Printer Again!
- Pros: This is a good low volume laser printer. Performs well for text. Cost per page is very good (see below). Prints pictures well, but if you are looking for high quality graphics, you need to look at a higher end model.
The Wi-Fi networking feature is awesome. The driver disk takes the user step-by-step through setting up the printer on a wireless LAN and adding the printer on a PC. It identified my WEP encrypted wireless network without any issues. Using the driver disk, I installed it on XP, Vista, and Windows 7 without issues.
This printer has a small footprint (i.e. it's small in size) and you only have the power cord connected to this printer, which allows you to place this printer practically any place in the house or office that has a power outlet.
1,500 page toner (p/n: TN330) goes for around $33. 2,600 page toner (p/n: TN360) goes for around $36 (best deal). 12,000 page drum goes for around $69. Cost per page using 2,600 page toner cartridge is $0.02!!
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: I bought this printer because it was a low cost, network, laser printer....and its wireless. The wireless feature has worked out great for me. And it's hard to beat the cost per page for the price. I would recommend this printer for anybody looking for a low duty network printer (i.e. up to 2,000 pages per month) and doesn't want to worry about cable management.
- Pros: Excellent printing quality on all media I've tried so far. It does an especially good job on labels. Very fast once printer is warmed up. Super price + rebate on a refurb unit (most refurbs probably get more individual attention than any new unit ever gets). This printer replaced a 15-yr old HP laserjet that was starting to give trouble, and it's almost a night and day difference.

- Other Thoughts: There are some minor indentations on printed sheets caused by the final turn that routes output to the top of the printer. But evidence mostly disappears with a little time. Opening the rear slot and routing printed sheets out that way solves the problem.

good printer
- Pros: good printer, low price, small
- Cons: drum is way over priced considering the price of the printer. makes more sense to replace the printer when its time to replace the drum
Very nice printer
- Pros: Wireless, easy to set up, cheap to operate (on a cost per page basis), WinXP, Vista and Win7 support.
- Cons: None to speak of. Not that it doesn't have any cons, it's just that none of them have been an issue for me...
- Other Thoughts: I have a color laser that started running low on black toner and in looking at it I found it was cheaper to buy a monochrome printer (re-certified with rebate) than to buy the toner! If I need a color printout I fire up the color laser, but for most of my printing the mono output is just fine.
In addition this printer allowed me to set it up on the wireless network, I can place it anywhere in the building I want and can print from any computer now!
The rebate was VERY fast as well, I wish ALL rebates were this fast and easy! Thank you Brother!!
Simply Wonderful.
- Pros: Fast print, quiet, great quality
- Cons: setup can be difficult, but if you read the manual and go through it, you'll get it done.
- Other Thoughts: Wonderful printer. Having the ability to unplug it from power and move it anywhere in the house is very nice. Quality is great, and time to first page is quite fast.
