The Xerox Phaser 6125N color printer offers your small Ethernet workgroup brilliant color capabilities, along with 16ppm performance. Xerox's non-toxic solid ink is amazingly convenient: just drop a stick into the loading slot, and you're done. There's no powdery mess to get on your clothes, no blue fingertips, and, best of all, less waste!
Your company's sales media, presentation materials, newsletters, and reports will look polished in glossy full-color glory, and thanks to the Phaser's built-in Ethernet port, you'll be able to do it all in house, over your own network. With the onboard processor and dedicated memory, your documents will never get lost in the ether or corrupted in transit.
The Phaser's paper tray holds 250 sheets, and you'll be able to print on cover stock, recycled paper, and gloss stock, so you have the flexibility to generate whatever your company needs. How often do you get a chance to improve your company's efficiency, economy, environmental impact, and professional image, all in one package?
Pros: Decent color printing. Excellent B/W printing. Built-in networking
Cons: Yellow skews more toward orange with 3 separate toner sets. Time to first page is more like 45-60 seconds. We played around with the settings on this thing for days, and finally got it down to 35 seconds B/W and 50 color, no where near the 14/17s they say in the description. If you are printing multiple pages of color, its maybe 4-5ppm, not the stated 12ppm. Random phantom paper-jam errors.
Other Thoughts: My company had an HP contract, but when it came time to renew Xerox came in a bit lower on cost. So we switched. Big mistake, the speed is just not up to our needs. The next time the renewal comes around the premium will be worth it.

Quality printer
Reviewed By: Jux on 4/15/2009
Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: Excellent print and build quality. Very quiet printer compared to most I've owned. Compact, with built in ethernet. Nice bright vibrant colors (haven't installed compatible toner yet, so can't comment on those). Not perfect, but near photo quality, at least close enough for hanging on the wall. Best brand of printer I have used to date.
Cons: Toner disappears pretty fast, especially the starter packs that come with the printer. 552 prints on original toner before black ran out. Wish it had a larger capacity paper tray and easier access to high capacity toner cartridges. 40k monthly duty cycle with a non-replaceable 30k-print-life-expectancy fuser seems a bit hokey (but should still last me 2-3 years).
Other Thoughts: Network settings work better when you assign it an IP address. I kept getting IP conflicts when it woke up with router set to assign IPs. Compatible toner runs 80-100 bucks(set of 4), or HC compatibles for around 130 (set of 4). For the price I have been very happy with this printer.

Pros: Overall great printer for SOHO. I still prefer the 8560 for presentation work, but the 6125 does a decent job.
Cons: A couple of paper jams when using glossy paper. The 6125 does the same thing.
Other Thoughts: The product description references the convenience of solid ink. That's incorrect: this is a laser printer with toner cartridges. Not a lot of mess, but not as clean as wax sticks.

Great Printer
Reviewed By: JW on 7/10/2009
Tech Level: average - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: The printer is extremely well designed and built. The casing is very solid and provides a sense of a solid product. The printer is very easy to place in use, the directions are very easy to understand. Common sense approach to all aspects of placing this system into operation - nothing that is not intuitive. The software CD is exceptional. I simply ran the CD and followed the instructions. I have this printer plugged directly into my router. The software CD found the printer and ran the entire install process for me. I run 3 computers and all 3 linked to the printer with ease. The speed of the printer is very nice. No strange noises, no problems. Menu functions are very easy to understand. Print quality is very good. I have printed quite a few slides and documents and have not notice any color distortion. Price from Newegg was great and shipping was as expected - no problems. The shipping box is also very well designed and the printer is very well packaged.
Cons: None so far. I have had the printer for a little over a month and am very satisfied with this system. I can not find anything negative about this printer.
Other Thoughts: I use 4 different printers at work, all of them HP (which I consider the standard for professional requirements). The Xerox Phaser 6125 is my home networked printer and meets my expectations of print quality and speed. The size of the printer is very nice - not too bulky and apears to be the necessary size to support all print requirements. The printer is very easy to set up and very easy to use. I use this printer for home requirements but also for business projects. I am very satisified with the printer and recommend this printer to anyone that wants speed plus quality. The system is very durable and has handled every print job I have sent. These print jobs have included numerous slides with high memory requirements. The Phaser 6125 is a great printer and requires serious consideration for anyone looking for a nice home/small business printer.

Perfect for my home office

Pros: Cheap toner (unlike Lexmark), simple to use, prints color faster than I expected. Very happy with this
Cons: None
Other Thoughts: I am an insurance adjuster and have to print large files with lots of photos. This printer does the job perfectly. Quite the upgrade from the HP inkjet. Prints much better and in about 1/4 of the time. So far so good.
