Great for a Media Machine
- Pros: Once I figured out how to do it, this card works wonderfully sending analog 5.1 to my home theater using winamp and the free AC3 decoder. Great with games in 5.1
- Cons: Required a high learning curve to get it to do what I wanted with my home theater.
Sounds great
- Pros: This sounds great. I upgraded from an original Audigy gamer and it is an improvement. Both music and games sound better.
- Cons: I have the front input/output control box from my first sound blast live! 5.1. It worked with my original Audigy, but with this one, it doesn't work. That's a little disappointing.
- Other Thoughts: Other then the above mentioned issue I had, this sound card is awesome. I only use headphones on my computer so I can't say anything about the 5.1.
Excellent!
- Pros: Stupendous audio quality (Vast improvement over my old Audigy LS, obviously), great software for getting the best out of your speakers, lots of options for the audiophile. Comes with 5 free games.

- Other Thoughts: Bought this card to replace my SB Audigy LS. I recently bought some Logitech Z-5500 speakers so I thought it was about time to get a better sound card. I'm far from disappointed. I've only had it for a day but I've already tested it extensively on games, movies, and normal MP3 audio and I see a huge improvement. The sound quality is simply excellent.
It also comes with five free games, and they're not bargain-bin unpopular titles either (I got Halo, Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six 3, Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, and Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy).
