eh
- Pros: the sound is awesome. Cubase & FruityLoops come with it.
- Cons: i still haven't fully figured out the I/O hub. Line 2 doesn't work all the time.
- Other Thoughts: i have a weird fuzzy noise that happens when i play hitman, and FEAR. i don't know if it's because of the card.i may contact creative about it.
Very Frustrating Experience
- Pros: It had a remote.
- Cons: The application interface is poorly designed and not for a novice user to understand. I spent the past 3 months with this sound card only ever half working and half in my possession. I could never get the Line-In 2 or the Line-In 3 on the rear of the external I/O hub to function. I sent this product back 3 times to Creative to have them look at the card and I/O hub to make sure nothing was broken on them. Every time I got a brand new card back and it took 15 business days to do a turn around. There Customer Support over the phone is absolutely terrible and worthless.
- Other Thoughts: Worst experience I have ever had with a computer component. Do not buy this card unless you feel apt to waste money and time and get very frustrated.
Pretty Great
- Pros: I deleted my on-board sound drivers before installing, then went to website and downloaded drivers, and then installed card, and installed drivers, and I had no MAJOR problems. My Logitech Z-5300e's sound amazing, and the external box is cool looking and seems to be made with high quality materials.
- Cons: MINOR PROBLEMS
Speakers at first were not playing in 5.1....turned off at Subwoofer instead of remote, and then they worked fine, I have had to do this several times
The Mic in/line 1 on the external box is not registering my microphone....annoying..... no mic in on rear of box, as others have stated, "I spent 300 on speakers, 300 on a sound card, 100 on a wireless mouse and keyboard, and 200 on an LCD, dollars on a sound card, I want my desk to look clean!!!! oh well.
- Other Thoughts: You can get this from a really long river that flows through south america, and rhymes with my mom, new for a price, with shipping, that is the same as if I were counting from 1-115.
