Boost your desktop's audio performance with a sound card from one of the premier names in computer audio—Creative Labs. The Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty sound card is designed to enhance your PC gaming experience. Named for professional gamer, Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel, the card's X-Fi 24-bit Crystalizer will make your game audio more dynamic and realistic while improving both low and high frequencies giving you smoother, cleaner sound and immersing you in the game environment.
The card's audio processor, with help from Creative's CMSS-3D technology, is able to remix your stereo audio into surround sound—even through stereo headphones. This is ideal for playing first-person shooters so you can hear your enemies before it's too late. There's 64MB of onboard RAM as well, freeing up demands on your PC's memory and increasing overall gaming performance.
Music and movies benefit from Creative's audio technology know-how, too. For enjoying your favorite DVDs, the card is THX certified and can handle decoding DTS-ES and Dolby Digital EX duties. The Crystalizer and CMSS-3D technology also team together to improve your digital music and let you "SuperRip" your CDs boosting the fidelity of ripped audio above that of low-quality MP3 files. Plus, the 5.25-inch I/O Drive gives you access to inputs and outputs from the front of your computer and the bundled remote turns your computer into a full entertainment center.

Very sexy sound card.
- Pros: Very cool looking, great sound. REALY great sound. Upsampling CDs is quite cool. More expandability with the Xram.
- Cons: There is little to now support for the Xram. I have read that the Fatal1ty is a little more unstable than the other Xfi cards, because of the memory.
- Other Thoughts: Awesome sound card, would have gotten a 5, if more games supported it.
X-Fi
- Pros: X-Ram; if it ever gets used in games. Good sound quality, I definately like the mids and overall sound quality compared to my Audigy 2ZS. Drivers are a bit better than older SB cards.
- Cons: Drivers are still buggy.

Simply Amazing!
- Pros: Absolutely the best sound I have ever heard come from a computer, its even better than a lot of home theater systems ive heard, and I only use 5.1 computer speakers with this... My games sound a lot better, even those that dont support the xram.
- Cons: pretty much the only cons I see are the drivers being slightly buggy with the remote (at least for me, but they work fine otherwise) fact that it only comes with 1 1/4 stereo jack-to-3.5mm converter, and you can buy those anywhere for like $2.
- Other Thoughts: 24-bit crystallizer does definitely make music sound a lot better!
ok
- Pros: Capable of very good sound in games and music. More in/outs than I'll ever use.
- Cons: Stupid ribbon cable. Creative continues to suppy the worst user's manual I've ever seen. Generally cheap packaging.
- Other Thoughts: In/out front panel was D.O.A. Tracked the problem to a short in the headphone level control which was shorting out the front panel. Too bad, the front panel was the reason I bought this board.
Outstanding card
- Pros: Incredible sound, many features.
- Cons: My only complaint is with Creative not this card, I wish creative would allow for use of their cards headers with the case audio jacks without needing to build your own cable.
- Other Thoughts: Many reviewers have stated this card doesn't work with Vista, I have been using it with Vista since March and I have yet to have a problem. The card blows away my old Audigy 2 using my Klipsch Pro-Media 5.1 speakers.
