D90
- Pros: The Camera takes very nice pictures. It has a very strong and quick shutter. It contains the same CMOS sensor as the expensive D300! This camera is very good for consumers and professionals. I use this camera to take photos of sports and various other events.
- Cons: The shutter speed with a flash unit can only be set to a maximum of 1/200. This is fine for most people, however in low light conditions where you are taking pictures of fast moving objects (football sports stadium) the pictures can come out blurry. The D300 can be set much higher.
- Other Thoughts: I use the D300 for really crisp sports photos when low light conditions persist, however the D90 takes excellent sport photos and at high ISO settings, noise is minimal. I am very satisfied with my purchase!
I LOVE THIS CAMERA
- Pros: I love this new D90, it does way more than I have figured out yet. This was a step up for me and I sure am glad I spent the extra cash, this is a huge improvement over the D60 and the D80 even and I havnt even played with the HD Video capabilities. The CMOS picture sensor is razor sharp and way better than the CCD sensor in the lower cameras, I could go on and on... just go get one, you wont be dissapointed.
- Cons: The price, other than that I really cant find anything I dislike about the camera, the lens could be a little better but it still takes super sharp pictures and is a good general purpose walk around lens until you are ready to upgrade.
- Other Thoughts: Did I mention I love my D90?

Nikon D90 camera
- Pros: Nice camera as all Nikon products
- Cons: I am a Canadian customer but camera must be sent to
USA if any repairs are needed for warranty. Niokn says this is a USA camera and can only be warranted in the USA. This is not what I expected.
Feature Packed Yet Simple
- Pros: I had been using point and shoot for some time, and found I just couldn't get exactly what I wanted. I tried out a relatives Nikon series camera (series escapes me) and found it to be relatively easy. In comparison between the 2 the D90 is much more user friendly for the average joe looking to step the quality in his/her photos.
Out of the box, camera was packed snugly, yet safely in peanuts. After opening the contents, found all materials to be included, manuals and such. Camera body/lens were packed carefully. Would have really had to be dropped off a building to develop any damage.
I bought some SanDisk Extreme 30MB/s 4GB SDHC cards to start it up. Worked perfectly right out of the box. Not a single complaint there.
- Cons: Price, but you get what you pay for. I was skeptical at first to put this much money into a camera, but have found it be totally worth it.
- Other Thoughts: I do mostly outdoors shooting, but wanted to get up and running and start developing my skills with zoom/focus/ISO settings before buying a separate lens to go with it. Down the road I would say for any customer of this product you would want to go with a better lens once you can pin down what you plan to do with it.
I travel more than anything and we all know we want the perfect shot. 18-105 will do its job, but buying a higher quality lens would make this a camera to keep for years to come.
The 18-105mm does take clear photos, it just has limitations as any lens has its boundaries. Be patient and enjoy taking photos is my whole idea behind a camera.
Excellent product.
- Pros: Build quality, image quality, low light performance, great kit lens. Ergonomics. 920k pixel LCD is nice, especially for reviewing thumbnail pictures however I rarely use it for composing pictures/focusing since live view isn't worth the extra focusing time.
- Cons: Price.
- Other Thoughts: T1i was another consideration however Rebel grip feels small in comparison for my average size hands. Canon kit lens also felt cheap when zooming.
