This Canon ultracompact has a lot to offer in spite of its small size. The SD600 includes a wide range of cutting-edge imaging technology not normally seen in the “point and shoot” camera lines. Combining superb build quality with compelling design, the steel-bodied SD600 draws on the original “Elph” design by Shiotani for a classic look. The 6 megapixel marvel includes a 2.5-inch LCD screen, 4x optical zoom, and 16 automatic shooting modes to assist your every photo need. High quality movie clips can also be recorded at 30fps, and the 60fps QVGA mode gives you slow motion video capability, ideal for analyzing fast action scenes, while the handy compact mode records up to three minutes in a resolution for easy sharing in e-mail.
Stylish compact cameras are generally used indoors and in other low light situations where using the flash can spoil the ambience of the scene. This mighty mite includes ISO 800 to facilitate flash-free shooting indoors and minimize the effects of camera shake. A new High ISO Auto setting automatically sets exposure using the higher range of ISO sensitivities, selecting faster shutter speeds for reduced image blur. This is a great camera for the family, tourist or hobbyist wanting to record all the memorable moments of life.

Great camera
- Pros: Picture quality, small size, good battery life (for being so small), different picture modes, excellent movies
- Cons: Semi flimsy batter/SD card door, small viewfinder
- Other Thoughts: Great camera! It does what it is intended to do, not designed to have great amounts of manual controls (i.e. Powershot S and A series). 6MP is enough for good size prints. I own 3 other Canon digi-cams and use this one more than my 20D, G6, and S50.
awesome!
- Pros: Amazing pictures. Camera is awesome looking and small. LCD screen is great! All the cool image features (color swap is so freakin cool).
- Cons: Wish there was more optical zoom. I'm afraid i'm going to break off the little thing protecting the data connections. Wish it came with a case... or that newegg carried a good one. included memory card isn't sufficient (16MB)
- Other Thoughts: My girlfriend and I had been wanting a camera for a long time, and finally decided to just get one. This one had plenty of great reviews, so we went for it. Now I'm not really up to date on all the technological improvements, but man this camera rocks. I'm not sure how old they are, but my friends' cameras' images are a lot grainier. But these are incredibly clear. Even the video it shoots is amazing. Plus with a newegg combo deal, we got a 1gig card free!

Great Point and Shoot Camera
- Pros: Great look with the silver and crome accents. Easy to use, even a beginner can pick up and take great photos. Easy to plug and download pictures on any computer.
- Cons: Does show fingerprints, but a small price to pay for the good looks. Flash is a little weak, only good for about 6 feet. Does not work well at all with long distance, dim shots (i.e. wedding, party, concert, etc.)
great camera in a nice package
- Pros: great form factor, still has an optical viewfinder, good software bundle, easy menu navigation, fast transfer speeds
- Cons: not many cons. I wish the autofocus was a touch faster. some goods pics get away as the camera takes too long to take the picture.
- Other Thoughts: over all great camera. Love the small size. Fits in my coat pocket without anyone knowing. Nice viewfinder and still has an optical viewfinder, a MUST for me. I got the 2 GB card with it and that was a good decision.
The Best Camera I've Ever Used!!
- Pros: This camera is unbelivable. It takes such good pictures and records in very high quality. This is the perfect camera for everyone!
- Cons: NONE!!!
- Other Thoughts: Please try it out! you won't regret it!
