Good Camera
Reviewed By: weee96 on 11/12/2009
Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Low price, image stabilization, digital effects (black/white, etc.), 37x optical zoom and 48x digital zoom, lightweight, bright LCD.
Cons: Manual lens cover, slightly picky with dvd type.
Other Thoughts: I bought this camera after selling my other dvd camcorder made by Panasonic. I might have been lucky but my refurb unit literally seems brand new, not a single scratch or mark and came with everything a new unit comes with. It works perfectly, and was well worth it for me. This isnt a high end camcorder, mostly suitable for home videos. For the price it was a good buy, although I see the price has already gone up.

Writing to DVD makes no sense
Reviewed By: on 11/7/2009
Tech Level: average - Ownership: less than 1 day
Pros: NA
Cons: NA
Other Thoughts: My 2 cents: I have a different DVD camcorder. They make no sense at all. The recording media holds less than 1 GB, needs finalizing before it can be used, and (on my hitachi camcorder) has errors that lose data. I strongly suggest you consider a camcorder that uses an INTERNAL HARD DISK or a flash memory card instead.
