Good Appraisal Camera
- Pros: This is a slick little camera with an easy to use menu. Most functions can be accessed without having to dig though the menu. Flash is very powerful and reaches into the shadows. This has a lens cap. I replaced the wrist strap with a neck strap. Movies have sound work good. Might need this if a client is behaving poorly.
- Cons: Some of the buttons on the back are a little too easy to hit by accident. The buttons do have sound to let you know you hit one.
- Other Thoughts: Other cameras had problems with a bright window throwing the exposure off. This camera has a setting to get around that. No special drivers to install. Software package is OK though I don't use it. This has sound feedback to let you know you really took a photo.
Great for point & shoot
- Pros: 10x optical w/IS works very well considering the small package
- Cons: none (if you have reasonable expectations!)
- Other Thoughts: I bought this because of its small size and 10x optical w/IS and have been very satisfied so far. Reviewer on the net tend to rave about all its capabilities and then give it a low rating because of the sensor noise level. Granted, with a lower noise sensor this camera would be almost perfection but as is it is still a terrific deal. If you take a shot in a light environment where it goes to ISO 400 or higher then the sensor noise is significant and the pix will be unusable for anything larger than 4X6 print, but if it weren't for the zoom/IS/small size you probably wouldn't have gotten the shot at all!! If you stay at ISO 80/100 type shots it performs great!

Nice for the price; image quality not 1st-rate
- Pros: Much smaller than my SLR-sized 8MP; SD media works with all of my computers, PDAs and cell phone; 10x optical zoom; menu navigation very easy to use; entire camera very easy to use; good battery life.
- Cons: Noticeable grain and blue/purple artifacts, particularly at high ISO-equivalences; bit bulkier than I'd expected; zoom control is a bit laggy; basic retail box doesn't come with SD media unless NewEgg is running a combo special (go Egg go!)
- Other Thoughts: I have an A200 for when I want to take better pictures. I got this for carrying around to use in normal point-and-shoot circumstances. While a bit larger than I'd wanted, it's still reasonably small; the real ultra-compacts don't come with a 10x optical zoom. Heck, my SLR-sized model is only 7x
Exceeds expectations
- Pros: The options are simple to figure out, the pictures are excellent quality, the battery life is great, and it is faster than any other camera I've seen. I am amazed at what this camera can do for the price I paid.
- Cons: None, I love this camera
- Other Thoughts: I've had a few other digital cameras & all left me frustrated and disappointed. This one however, keeps surprising more everytime I use it with what a great camera it is.

- Other Thoughts: Be sure to get a fast SD card. The camera with take pictures quickly, you don't want your SD slowing you down.
