Panasonic’s SDR-H60 digital camcorder fits neatly in your hand, where it helps you take bright, crisp video! The internal 60GB hard disk drive holds about 54 hours of video, or as much as about 43 DVDs. The 2.7” LCD features five brightness levels for optimal viewing in any conditions. You’ll never miss another detail with the 50X optical and 2500X digital zoom. Close in on the action with no loss of quality or clarity.
Panasonic’s O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) technology ensures that shake-free capture, even from a moving vehicle! Burn your memories to DVD; just connect the camera to your PC's USB port and press a single button to copy your video to a 12 cm DVD. The camera also comes equipped with a stereo microphone, specially-designed to reduce wind and other ambient noise, so you get audio capture as clear and crisp as your video!
An Anti-Shock Shield helps protect your valuable footage from damage by lifting the head away from the hard drive when it senses a fall of about 20 cm. If the camera falls, newly recorded data is temporarily stored in an internal buffer, and then transferred to the drive once it resumes operation. To reduce impact, a thick protective gel also cushions the drive, guarding your video from accidental loss. All these features in one tough, tiny package; the Panasonic SDR-H60 is your new best travel companion!

good stuff
- Pros: controls pretty straight forward..and if not, the instructions are good too. I really have yet to have a problem, quick charging (hour I think). zoom is very good. quality seems good too. didn't have a problem with the software either.
- Cons: none so far!
- Other Thoughts: was skeptical to buy cuz i don't like to buy things unless they have a lot of reviews. this one had 1 real review (for some reason, the other one's a harddrive). but I took a chance and am very happy with the results thus far.
Should be $79.99 at Walmart.
- Pros: Newegg. They allowed me to confess my mistake of buying this thing and allowed me to exchange it for a nice Canon HD. I really had done no homework and if I would have just read the NEWEGG reviews ( I can't believe I didn't....I ALWAYS ALWAYS DO!!) I would have clearly just spent the extra money from the start.
- Cons: Bad picture quality and proprietary video format. But most importantly just plain old pathetic video quality. Spend the extra 200 for a good high def hard drive camera.
- Other Thoughts: The video from this thing reminded me of a toy from Walmart or one of those really lame police videos from TV where you are like WTH kind of ancient security camera was that??? Why did they even install it if you can't see the robbers/murderers/muggers face at all whatsoever.

Great for it's price. A good buy.
- Pros: -- 50x Optical Zoom - Amazing for any camcorder.
-- Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) is very good (especially a pro since at 50x zoom, you can use all the help you can get, even on a tripod).
-- 60Gb Hdd = 14+hrs on highest quality (why record on lower quality when you have that much space anyway?).
-- Can record video directly to SD card(s).
-- Nifty little features like zoom mic and wind cut.
-- Optional manual settings for advanced users.
-- AC-Adapter included.
-- Battery charger is external device and included.
-- Price :)
- Cons: -- Small hand-strap. Might need to buy/make some aftermarket hand strap if you have a larger hand.
-- No, this isn't going to record professional, HD quality video, so don't expect that. Some people consider this a con, and if you're side-by-side with a $1000+ camera, yeah, you're going to notice quality differences. Still, for casual video, for recording family moments or whatever, it gets the job done, and done well.
-- No real recording "presets" or "special-effect" modes, but the manual options allow you to tweak tons of aspects as to light balance and stuff like that if necessary. So, no you can't walk around recording video in "sepia" of your back yard when you're bored and pretend you're in an old country-western version of blair wich..... boo-hoo, right?...
- Other Thoughts: -- The battery slides into a slot in the underside of the camera. This is different in that most camcorders have the battery attached on the very back. Most extended-life batteries are longer and usually not a problem because they would just hang off the back a little more. In this camera's case, your battery options are limited in that it has to fit a specific dimension. It's possible that there's some kind of "adapter" to attach a larger battery in some way, but keep this in mind and do some research if you're the user that likes to have larger/spare batteries.
-- I have not used the included software, but I never intended to. If you're buying a hard-drive camcorder, look into getting a aftermarket video editing program(s). They're not that hard to learn and can be fun working with your videos. Do a little research and dedicate a little time to learning a program and you'll enjoy your digital videos more (regardless of what camera you ever use).
Great Cam
- Pros: Great 50x zoom, was a daughters track meet sitting high up in bleachers and could zoom on her all around the track with a great quality. Yook it home hooked up to pc and in 10 min shared with all family across the nation and they all couldn't believe the quality. So far 6 of them have purchesed it and love it.
- Cons: None so far and don't think there ever will be.
- Other Thoughts: It was just so easy to operate. My Mom baught a new Easy Share Kodak and can't figure everything out lol. But mine has made me a believer on New Eggs products. I have built my entire computer through this site and this Panasonic SDR-H60 complements everything with 5 *****
Good Little Camera
- Pros: Small, easy to use. Decent still pictures for a video camera. Quality is pretty good, hard drive is nice to have. Battery lasts quite a while for how small it is and doesn't take long to charge.
- Cons: Almost too small for somebody with larger hands. Software that comes with it is marginal at best, if you really want to do some video editing, get some decent software. Plus, it doesn't work on my laptop (that might be an issue with my comp though, not the software)
- Other Thoughts: Don't use in areas that aren't well lit, it doesn't show up too well
