Pros: If you are looking to buy a camcorder with alot of features this is not it. This is the simplest thing I have ever used. REALLY you pick it up and push a red button to record and push it again to stop. If you are looking for good video and not much more this is the camcorder for you. The flip video software is just as simple to use. This thing is fun. My 8 year old loves it. You can edit, make movies, crop, send emails, post to web sites, upload anywhere all with in the software. It will even allow you to add music to your movie. It is very fast compared to other video editors I have used. Its fun and easy to use!!! Also you can use 2 AA batteries or the rechargable that comes with it.
Cons: Not any features. Minimal zoom 2x. Needs good light. Not for the want to be videographer.
Other Thoughts: I have a 10 year old digital 8mm camera and this little thing takes better video that it does. 2hr record time is plenty. It also will separate your video out by takes and let you put you movies together. That way you will not have to cut up 2hrs worth of video unless you ran it that long in one single take. I can not tell you enough how simple and suprising this thing is!!

Pros: Mobility, simplicity, and most of all, HD! I especially enjoy capturing pics from my movies. The quality is SO GOOD that I've found myself capturing moving objects just to see exactly what it is.
Cons: The Zoom, or lack-of.
Other Thoughts: I bought my first flipcam in 2008, bought the HD Flip for my best friend as a wedding/honeymoon gift (they were headed to jamaica), and was SO IMPRESSED, I had to purchase one for myself. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Pros: Compact, fits in shirt pocket. Video quality is very good. User interface is simple.
Cons: It had issues right out of the box. It worked OK with a couple of AA batteries installed, but it would not charge the rechargeable battery. Kept getting a "Check Battery" message, but didn't have a clue what that meant. Tried for six hours to charge it on a USB 2.0 port on my desktop computer, but to no avail. Returned for replacement. Hope the next one works.

Pros: Even easier than operating an iPhone. Purchased this for my youngest daughter and she absolutely loves it. Was able to master the capturing, playback, and deleting of videos very easily. Surprisingly sturdy. Granted she's under 4' tall...but the Flip has survived multiple drops onto hard surfaces.
Cons: Lower than expected quality when capturing motion video.
Other Thoughts: Beautifully portable and can take a beating.
