Pros: FEAR's engine is a class on it's own. I've seen the Source engine and FEAR takes it a couple steps further. Volumetric shadows and light sourcing are very realistic. The physics are amazing, that even sound wave compression can be seen in SlowMo. The AI is more intelligent, as they will try to flank or corner you. Ragdoll physics are probably the best part, not even the Source engine holds a candle to it.

Cons: The gameplay is not for everyone. The fear factors between this game and Doom 3 are very different. And as said, you need to invest in video to get the best out of this game. I wouldn't want to try it with anything less than an X800/6800 card, dual-setup preferred.

Other Thoughts: I've seen a lot of people complain how sluggish or buggy this game is. FEAR is tonically geared for high-end gaming. This is not a game you set at 1280x1024 right off the bat unless you have a top-line SLI or Crossfire system. I use an X800XL set with 800x600 in favor of almost all maxed-out settings except for soft shadows.

F.E.AR. Online Gore Fest!

Pros: Good story line- Very good story line. Kepps you guessing until you the answer sneaks up on you screaming its head off (litteraly). Online gameplay is much is filled with the most gore than any game in history that it should be considered rated "A" (its that good).
Computer playability: See other thoughts

Cons: long load times if you dont have a highspeed hardrive(WD raptor 10000rpm) or have a lot of programs running in background.
Online is not meant to be played for more than 5 hours per day or you'll get bored till next day.

Other Thoughts: I dont understand what these people are talking about when they say this game is pc stressor.
I have the following:
AMD ATHLON64 3000 1.8ghz
1gig Corsair ValueSelect
Sapphire X800Pro 256mb
WD 160gig 7200rpm Harddrive
This is not the greatest setup in history and only cost me 1000 dollars to build (5 months ago) and lets me play any game (except BF2) on highest settings including F.E.A.R. on 1024x768 res which is the highest compatible one available. So what I can recommend to those who have obsolete pc's build a pc don't buy a Dell which has a low price:performance ratio.

Awesome game

Pros: Amazing graphics, awesome campaign, decent multiplayer, moderate amount of weapons, and booster packs to enhance your soldier. This game is scary! Be sure to play in the dark with the volume turned up!

Cons: I can't find any other than the multiplayer could have been enhanced.

Other Thoughts: Buy this game.

Pros: This game IS the scariest game I ever played. At times I had to just shut it down. It is truly like living in a horror movie. I have played it through 3 times and the first expansion twice. I loved it.

Cons: Sometimes there are long times between action...

Other Thoughts: I heard about this game and thought "yea, right". It was true. if you like scary...this is it...

Cons: Scary :o) , i'll wait till the sun goes up to play this type scary.

Other Thoughts: Extremely fun FPS, don't make the mistake I did, buy the platinum version and get the other 2 expansions for a meager 10 bux more.
