1 out of 5 eggsAppeared to Be Used

Pros: Hard to tell....Item was DoA

Cons: Item was DoA and appeared to be used. The box it came in

wasn't shrink wrapped and very beat up. It also took over 2

weeks to be delivered.

Other Thoughts: This item was sold thru Newegg but came from a 3rd party

vendor. This is the Second Straight router I have received

from Newegg that was DoA and shipped thru a 3rd party

vendor. Returning for a refund and will buy next router

locally.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: I've been working with computers for 25 years and have used many different makes and models of routers and this model has been the best. I set it up around three years ago and have not touched it since. It has given me absolutely no problems whatsoever. You cannot beat that!

Cons: none at all

Other Thoughts: Why would you waste your time buying the other model that doesn't have SpeedBooster? Seems awfully foolish to me. It probably only helps a negligible amount but its the principle off the thing!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Router

Pros: Great router especially for the money. Does what it's supposed to do without lots of frills. Didn't take me long to set up and for the average person it shouldn't either.

Cons: The software CD that came with it was trash. It never detected my router. It was much easier and faster to just manual set it up. Takes less than 5 minutes.

Other Thoughts: The firmware that come with it is ok, you might want to consider putting a Linux firmware on the device. For the average user this product is great.

4 out of 5 eggsBasic Router

Pros: Only had to reset it twice in 2 months. Easy instructions for setup. This is my first wi-fi router.

Cons: After trying to use the software in the package on my Vista laptop, I decided the best option was an uninstall. I use the standard Windows connection wizard and it works like a charm. Full signal all over my small house. 5 eggs if the software wasn't junk.

Other Thoughts: Good basic product.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Works Great. Faster than the NETGEAR that I had. More Range too.

Cons: Could not run the auto setup software with my old wired Lynksys router.

Other Thoughts: I Realy like the Lynksys brand. I have yet to have anything bad to say about there products.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable with a capital R!

Pros: It does what it's designed to do, and it does it well. None of the people I know who have this router have had any problems at all.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The setup assistant program for some reason wouldn't detect the router when everything was perfectly set up, so to me, it was junk. This wasn't a problem at all, because I just went in and manually configured it, which was easy and I should've done it from the start. Some people are saying that they are having problems with they're gaming consoles losing connectivity. I had the same problem when I first set it up. All you have to do is update the firmware of the router, which is very simple. I updated the firmware, and all was gravy.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent

Pros: The wireless is fantastic. I live in a 2 story home and the router is located on the 2nd floor. My laptop can get a excellent signal on any floor including the attic and basement. I can even get a good signal out back in my garage.

Cons: I had to spend alot of time reading up and learning about routers in order to understand not one from any manufcaturer works correctly. Theres always a glitch here and there. I ended up turning mine into a switch simply because the firewall no matter what ports were opened or whether or not DMZ was used certain online console games caused me to lose connections with some friends. Whatever Router firewalls are overrated anyways. I never bought a router to get a firewall anyways. I run firewalls on my PC's

Other Thoughts: Unless drastic changes take place in the router industry I wont buy one again. The next one I will build myself and use something like IPcop. Fix your firewall Linksys, Educate the customer properly on gaming with the wireless connection. Wireless isnt ready for gaming yet. What were you thinking with the purple faceplate? Whats that supposed to match in my house? Nothing? Well you succeeded in making it look ugly and stand out.
