4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: No problems so far. I bought it to play online with my PS3, and its worked fine.

Cons: Can't think of anything. Best Buy told me I would need something over $100 and this does fine.

5 out of 5 eggsCheap, easy to setup, works

Pros: Cheap, plug and play, auto-setup button for wireless configuration makes it brain-dead easy. I bought this to replace an old Microsoft wireless which was having issues requiring a daily power-cycle to fix. It is a very cheap and slim unit which is going to sit on the shelf and do its thing.

I see a lot of comments about v1 vs v1.5, not that i care, but for those that do the unit i received is v1.

Cons: $5 shipping on a $20 item?

1 out of 5 eggsI got the 1.5 version..no DD-WRT

Pros: None.

Cons: I ordered 2 and both are v1.5, which are not flashable with DD-WRT. Apparently this version only has 2MB of flash memory.

Other Thoughts: Return policy on these is replacement only.

5 out of 5 eggsEven better than expected

Pros: I got the 1.0 revision of the router, allowing me to install DD-WRT. The unit was also in great shape, no scratches or marks.

Cons: none, for the price.

Other Thoughts: 3rd party firmware can maximize the potential of this amazingly well priced router.

4 out of 5 eggsgood value

Pros: quick set up. not too many settings to change from default. improvement over my old router.

Cons: since i already have an external antenna, i wish i could use it.

Other Thoughts: bought it on sale to replace a several years old router that was dropping wireless connections when i did not want to spend to get a dual channel n router (yet). with a few exceptions, recertified deals from newegg have been reliable.

1 out of 5 eggsIf it would work.

Pros: Looked nice and shinny. The lady on the chat was nice and tryed to help get it working.

Cons: The software networks magic didnt help even after the update, Thay want you to buy it. I think it was like $30. The problem was it would not stay connected to the internet. I dont even know if the wireless part worked. Didn't get that far.

Other Thoughts: I spent about 4 hours hooking up my laptop to it and flashing it with a thumb drive. What a waste of time. I have another one comming so lets hope new one will work.

3 out of 5 eggsPriced right

Pros: Easy to setup, good for first time wireless users.

Cons: Low connectivity in short distances not sure if it because its recertified or a typical issue with this router. If your looking for a wireless router for a 2 story house i wouldnt recommend it. One story ranch you should be fine.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little router

Pros: Sleek looking, small form factor, good range, unbeatable price!

Cons: Installed stock firmware lacks quality. Upgrade to open source firmware recommended.

Other Thoughts: Newegg totally rocks! The first one I got was a dud and newegg cust service RMAed it for me for free (including return label). The replacement one was fine. I got rid of the stock linksys firmware and installed dd-wrt open source firmware which basically converted the $17 router to a $200 one. I can do all kinds of setups on it now. Great buy!
