- Pros: I've had this router over a year, and I've only reset it twice for performance issues. I updated the firmware right after I bought it, and it has been extremely stable and reliable. I've had up to 7 computers connected through the wireless, and it didn't even hiccup.
- Cons: The range isn't *awesome*, but I can get at least a low signal anywhere in my two-story home. It would be nice if the signal were a little stronger.
- Other Thoughts: My internet connection is a 15Mbps fiber-optic line, which is a factor in the good performance. I just upgraded to a 50Mpbs fiber-optic line, and the router handles the speed just fine.
Great Router
- Pros: Easy set up. Did not use the software that came with it. Am quite satisfied with the performance after getting it set up to work as I needed.
- Cons: I first set the router up on the second floor of our home. I got little or no signal downstairs. So I then moved it downstairs and then got an excellent signal both upstairs and downstairs. I have found that the signal travels up much better than down, which seems reasonable when considering how the signal is broadcast.
- Other Thoughts: If you have trouble with signal strength, I'd suggest that you consider getting the D-Link 24-0700 Omni-Directional antenna to replace the one that comes with the router. I did and this enhanced the signal that I was getting.
Excellent Router
- Pros: Going through multiple walls from the other side of the house and down a floor I can get a full signal. Install was a simple walk through. Given the price, range, and transfer rate, I think it's a great deal
- Cons: I've had to restart my computer to get it working again but I'm not sure if that is a problem with the router itself.
- Other Thoughts: I've never seen a company ship an item a few hours after ordering it. I'm quite impressed and I'll be buying here again.
