- Pros: This thing is made with:
50% Magic, 50% Gold, and 50% Win, that is 150% total!
- Cons: It has yet to wake up in the morning and make my breakfast.
- Other Thoughts: I still haven't gotten the rebate back, but even if I never do, "OH NOES!" a flawless switch for $10, I don't know how I will be able to go on living.
nice
- Pros: Sturdy, Professional looking, COMPLETELY TRANSPARENT to the network to other computers, and, it works from the first try without any intervention--no software to setup, tinker with, delete and update...it's there...it's like it's not there...I KNOW it's there...yet it seems like it's not there....
- Cons: Hardly a con but it's 3/4th width of my D-Link DSL2540B ADSL Modem/Router so I was hoping for perfect size match when I bought them (two of them on sale on newegg at $6 a piece after rebates including shipping.) Since they look the same it would have been nice to stack one over another but since it's so much smaller it's a small loss to the image.
- Other Thoughts: I started to grow out of 4 port router and since I loved how D-Link DSL2540B looked and worked I sticked with the company. Some of their newer designs and colors are not my taste but their older professional looking black with silver/metallic band routers and other peripherals are my choice. Any noob of any level can handle this network splitter/switch to power more than one computer and networked appliances. Oh, and it's quality quality quality made--from power supply connector to the green LEDs that are dim enough to be left in a bedroom.
it's a switch
- Pros: It's a swtich, it does what it was designed to do and it is compact. And it is very inexpensive.
plug and play
- Cons: it gets a little warm. I wanted to put my D-Link ADSL modem on top of it but they both got hot in a stack.
- Other Thoughts: I solved the heat issue by placeing a heat sink from a Pentium 2 chip between the switch and the ADSL modem. It fits perfectly and both units are "cooler"
