Great little device/no big probs
- Pros: Appears to be easy to use, great diagrams to show you where to plug things in especially if you are technically challenged.
Good for the price I haven't had any problems with being able to connect. I purchased this item from a store which gave me a rebate but for some reason newegg doesn't have this rebate. So it's pricey on newegg.
- Cons: Difficult to figure out how to set up a password, doesn't let you change the sign in name must use Admin or user as a sign in name. Took me around 2 hrs to figure out how to set up a pass word and by that time I was frustrated. Passwords also must be set in a specific manner you can only use letters A to F and zero to 9. THEY NEED A BETTER HELP SECTION! I clicked on help and it didnt HELP AT ALL.
- Other Thoughts: Small, compact however easy to knock over. The antenna come off which is a nice feature I suppose.
Waste of money and your pacient
- Pros: When work's is beautiful
- Cons: You have to restart every single day, you lost connection every day, that's unheard of.
- Other Thoughts: If you don't mind shutting the power off for 2 minutes at least 3 times a day this router should be for you, I just had with this router last Sunday when I had to Unplugged the power for more then 20 times. Now I'm waiting for my new ZYXEL|X-550 router, never heard of this brand but I bought by good reviews.
Installed 4 of these!
- Pros: I have installed 4 of these over the last 2 years. The first one ran for 2 years w/o incident but recently upgraded the firmware to solve a connection problem. I installed the 2nd ~ a year ago and started using the wireless about 6 months ago w/o any issues using WEP 128 bit. The last 2 that I installed needed a firmware update and have been running great for the last 4-6 months. Highly recommended for the price. I purchased all with d-link rebates.
- Cons: 3 out of 4 have needed firmware updates.
- Other Thoughts: D-link’s tech support is decent and has helped me solve my issues quickly. They helped me disable DHCP at the office to avoid IP conflicts with our main router.
