Great Item
- Pros: Easy to install. Just run the install software and plug in the dongle and you are ready to go. Originally bought this so I could put ringtones onto a Razor V3a phone which Motorola Phone Tools dosent support thru there USB cable. Now I can acccess my reingtones and wallpaper/pics without using there tools, works like another folder on the desktop.
- Cons: Instruction manual a lil hard to understand. Better to play around with it to figure it all out.
- Other Thoughts: Got mine from local box store for under $20
Excellent USB Adapter
- Pros: This Bluetooth adapter was very effective at adding the missing Bluetooth compatibility back to Windows XP and windows Vista. Installation took a while, but it works flawlessly.
- Cons: None that I can think of.
- Other Thoughts: Upon trying to install this on a Windows Vista machine, it kept making the system freeze after I removed the adapter between computers. VISTA USERS: BE SURE to download the Windows Vista drivers from the IOGear web site to prevent this problem. You won't have any problems if you do.
A Warning for Mac Users
- Pros: It's small and the setup is easy.
- Cons: This product supports Macs and supports Bluetooth handsfree profiles, but does NOT support handsfree profiles on a Mac!! In other words, it won't let you use a wireless headset with a Mac. This information is not available anywhere on their site or in their documentation. I was only able to learn it by purchasing it and talking to a support rep after I couldn't get it to work.
- Other Thoughts: It's probably a great choice for PC users, but Mac users can do better.
