TRENDNET TVP-SP1BK ClearSky Bluetooth VoIP Phone Kit(for Skype)

Pros: Works as advertised, rebate, decent range, good value for the price paid

Cons: Power button doesn't always work on the first try, wonky install process

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my parents who use Skype a lot. I had to run the install twice as the first time it would not complete the Bluetooth adapter install, but that was pretty minor

Pros: Clear and works as stated. Setup is straight forward.

Cons: Like stated below, its no high end pricey phone. It feels, and look cheap. Included skype plug-in software does not work with other BT dongles.

Other Thoughts: Overall, making calls and managing the contact list is great. Right on the money with bluetooth...

Pros: Can't say yet It came with the LCD screen non functioning.

Cons: Several calls to Trendnet finally got an intelegent tech!
They sent me an RMA to send to NewEgg. Waiting to see if NewEgg honors the Manufacturs RMA as they Trendnet wants.

Other Thoughts: Would much rather pay more and not have hassle. Gladly pay for quality. Not sure this is it. Will have to wait some more.

Pros: Easy to set up - very handy for traveling - good range and sound quality.

Cons: Can take a few minutes to sync up with Skype

Other Thoughts: Very easy to travel with - I just put the phone and dongle in an inside pocket in my laptop case and I'm all set! Good sound with just a bit of lag (no annoying echo).

This isn't a $xxx phone, so don't expect it to perform like one or have the full-on functions of one that expensive. Having said that - I do a lot of traveling overseas and for me this phone's worth every penny of its price if it means I can "reach out and touch someone" back in the states for pennies on the dollar!

Highly recommended for travelers. And of course, Newegg beat their predicted delivery date to my door!

Pros: This phone is able to connect to skype relatively easy, other than that.......there are no pros

Cons: My phone came with a screen broken, could not read anything from the screen, however it does connect to the skype via bluetooth. The range of the product is not very good. Not as claimed 300ft, it is like 30ft.

Other Thoughts: I wanted to return the product but newegg does not accept return for this broken phone. Have to fix it thru Trendnet. I suggest Linksys CIT200 if really want to get a decent skype phone

*Almost hands-off installation (you might have to reset your default sound device output settings afterwards)
*Bluetooth doesn't interfere with other wireless connections.
*Allows you to check your SkypeOut credit directly from phone.
*Two year warranty

Cons: *No ability to add/edit contacts from phone
*Can't access voicemail directly from phone
*Only has 4 "cutesie" polyphonic ringtones - and no plain old phone ring sound
*Can't change ringtone volume
*Menus are a bit flaky
*Brick-like, plus feels a bit flimsy

Other Thoughts: Overall, a decent device. Extremely handy way to use Skype!

The Cons are not serious defects, and probably could be addressed in firmware updates. Either way, the phone works quite well, and interfaced with Skype seamlessly.
