TRENDnet TEW-631BRP wireless router lets you create a secure wireless network using the latest Draft 802.11n wireless technologies offering greater range and data speeds than the older 802.11b/g standards, (when used with compatible Draft 802.11n wireless adapters) while still being fully backwards compatible with them—perfect for mixed-mode environments.
The router's MIMO (Multiple Input, Multiple Output) technology also makes it a natural choice for multimedia fanatics, minimizing errors and optimizing data speed through the use of multiple antennas for both sending and receiving.
Need to give voice, gaming, or media streaming priority over other data? This router's Stream Engine QoS (quality of service) technology by Ubicom does just that. The TEW-631BRP analyzes traffic and separates it into multiple data streams. These streams are prioritized by sensitivity to delay, so applications like VoIP (voice over Internet protocol), video and music streaming and online gaming are given priority over Web browsing. If nothing but a wired connection to the Internet will do, the TEW-631BRP also has a built-in four-port 10/100 Ethernet switch.

New Version 2 has "Bridge Mode"
- Pros: The new version 2 of this router, now shipping from Newegg, adds "Bridge Mode". This is very useful if you want to place it on the LAN side of another router, for example a router in a DSL modem. I use it with a wired router and a cable modem, and it makes setting the TEW-631BRP as an access point (not a router) much easier than before.
- Cons: The color is even more neon blue than version 1.
- Other Thoughts: I also have Version 1 of this router, and it has worked great for almost a year, so when the price came down on this, I snapped it up. By using the bridge mode, you can use the WAN port to connect to another router and free up a LAN port, and also pass all the traffic through the Ubicom StreamEngine.
Great Router
- Pros: I was not too familiar with TrendNet before I started seeing product reviews in which it either came out on top or was a close second. This thing screams! No problems at all after 4 months and the Steam Engine QoS works really really well.
- Cons: Its not as attractive as other routers, but the inside are what makes it great.

pretty good
- Pros: -Reasonable price
-high speeds -got it set up fast -My desktop gets a good strong signal
- Cons: -Finding where all the settings were was a little tricky
-Default IP address was not what startup guide said it was
- Other Thoughts: This router has been serving me well now that all the settings have been figured out. There's bundled software on the install disc that I checked out. It's good for those who are new to wireless networks, but otherwise you probably just want to use the web interface.
Great router but odd default
- Pros: Got this in 2 days after i ordered it! (GO GO NEWEGG) Runs my 2 computer network and my gaming tower in my room thats across the house with FULL connection. NICE!
- Cons: Made the mistake of using the CD to set it up. Having experience in setting up home networks it should be as easy as 123 but this one was difficult (if you use the CD). The difficulty comes from the fact that the router is defaulted at PPOE instead of the standard DHCP, so the setup wanted my ISP login and password which is something ive never used before other than setting up my modem. It was easily fixed by accessing the internal config on the router and switching from PPOE to DHCP in the network setup.
- Other Thoughts: Great router but a poor choice for default setup (who the heck uses ppoe for home networks?)
Excellent
- Pros: Great product. No problems setting it up. Great range and strong signal.
- Cons: None.
