pass on this one
- Pros: wasn't DOA...
would connect to my neighbor's unsecured router (if 50kbps counts as connected for a "300Mbps" card)
TRENDNET actually answered my call and tried to help, that was a nice surprise. Personal were helpful though unable to resolve my issues.
- Cons: not Windows 7 compliant!
would not connect to any router with ANY security setup. Would only connect to channel 1 or 11.
- Other Thoughts: I recently built a new monster (for me anyway) i7 system. this was the ONLY product that didn't work out of the box. In hindsight, I should have just gone with a Netgear or similar product
I ended up RMA'ing this thing back to Newegg, koudos to them for not sticking me with an expensive paper weight.

Trendnet Terrible Customer Service
- Pros: Died after a little over one month, but great while it lasted
- Cons: Trendment RMA's only refurbished replacements. You never get a new replacement no matter how new your product is. I RMA'ed a version 3, and they took 12 days to return my a USED, crumpled box version 2. Required me to send wrong Refurbished back, to receive correct version. CS Manager stated that they NEVER replace your product with a new product, and that it is always refurbished. CS department has 2 people, one supervisor and another person. RMA Department also has one person. This is a terrible company that does NOT stand behind its products. Techincal support is very poorly trained overseas, and you can barely understand anyone. They will NOT let you speak to any Manager or VP, "it's our company policy." President of company is named Pei Huang. If you never need a return or help installing you are fine, otherwise, you wasted your money.

Died after one Month-- Terrible CS
- Pros: Great while it lasts, but just died after one month
- Cons: Terrible Customer Service--Trendnet has 2, yes 2 people in Customer Service and they soundoff like robots. You will NEVER get a new replacement, even if your product is only a month old. Can't speak to anyone in charge. Very poor customer service, and technical support is also very poor. Long drawn out process for an RMA. Shipped mine priority mail on 10-8-09, and took until 10-20-09 to receive a LOWER level, used card. Mine was version 3 and they sent me a USED, dirty box with version 2. Even though they made the mistake, they would not send out correct one, until I sent them the wrong one they sent me. As of 10-26, as still waiting for refurbished replacement. No one in authority, just a bunch of young people that have no authority to make the customer satisfied. Avoid these products like the plague!!!!
