5 out of 5 eggsworks great

Pros: worked exactly as expected. Used it as a secondary network connection on a linux system to act as a transparent bridge. It was detected automatically, no configuration required.

Cons: not gigabit, rather large, LCD is bright

5 out of 5 eggsWorth it's weight in gold!!

Pros: I work on computers on a regular basis and on occasion have to do a full wipe & reinstall. This little device has worked great when XP doesn't recognize the ethernet port built into the motherboard. Just plug it into a USB and viola! instant internet access.

Cons: Apparently doesn't work on Vista/7 machines, just from the comments, I cannot personally confirm as still using XP.

1 out of 5 eggsWoops

Pros: none - at least if it was DOA I would have been able to return it.

Cons: I needed something fast and had a brain fart. No one should be buying this, it's out of date and end of life. Look for the TU2-ET100, which supports USB 2.0, Win 7, and OS X.

Other Thoughts: waste of $15

4 out of 5 eggsVista 64 capable--but not from trendnet

Pros: When I found a driver it works like a charm...have 64 bit vista laptop with broken ethernet port....not fast by any measure, but much faster then no ethernet. look online for "ADM8511 USB To Fast Ethernet Converter" and you will come up with uncertified vista 32 and 64 bit drivers. installed in about 20 sec. with the right driver. don't bother looking for one using the trendnet number...it isn't out there.

Cons: why o why no drivers trendnet?

Other Thoughts: cheaper than a new laptop or a laptop repair........

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Adapter came as indicated, very well put together. Had no problems installing to computer. No software CD needed, Windows XP found drivers automatically and put the NIC to work immediately.

Cons: The cable is a little long, but that might be a pro in some installations.

Other Thoughts: Bought 4 of these and have used 2 within a week on separate machines. They work like a charm. Very good product.

1 out of 5 eggsbought two , none work

Pros: cheap and work with windows xp and below excellently

Cons: Bought them because they claimed to work in windows 7. They do not. And there are no drivers for windows 7 from the manufacturer's home page.

Other Thoughts: Waste of money.

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid

Pros: None

Cons: You get what you pay for. Avoid like the plague. Not worth the trouble to send it back to New Egg. I should have known better when buying this the first time. Let alone the second or third.

Other Thoughts: Easily converted to a Frisbee, baseball and or prop house trinket. To only name a few.
