5 out of 5 eggsIt Works

Pros: Verified it runs at 1000Mbps. Compact

Cons: Power Brick is not angled so you have to put it at the end of a power strip (or have it take up 3 outlets)

5 out of 5 eggsGood basic GB switch

Pros: It's small, fast, just works. The price was awesome. I have had 5 TRENDnet switches now, all are flawless, all are a great value. Is it a layer 4 Cisco? No, but I don't need all that.

Cons: It's not a toaster? This case is plastic, they make with metal case, really not that big a deal, both perform fine.

Other Thoughts: They are so inexpensive, I got two to have an extra when needed.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat switch

Pros: Compact, inexpensive, and it works.

Cons: Lightweight

Other Thoughts: I bought two, one for me and one for a job that didn't need it. I'm glad I kept it because I am out of ports already and two of these at $19 each is cheaper than a single 16-port switch.

5 out of 5 eggsBa Da Ba Ba Baaaaa!!!!

Pros: Works out of the box <like it should>. Just plug and go.

Cons: None at all.

Other Thoughts: I bypassed the FIOS router and have a DLink 825 Gigabit router right out of the wall. The wifi on it is great; but, I wanted something more direct and stable because

I am using this in the living room. I bought the ZyXel power line adapter and they got the signal to the living room fine. I had a linksys WRT54G in the living room I was using as a switch just to hook all of the toys.

I was disappointed because although the signal never died, I would get the red light from ZyXel. Saw this come on sale and decided it was not an expensive *test* to see if the issue was actually the WRT54G. Nailed it! Dead on!

After hooking this switch in place of the WRT54G, the red light is totally gone while in use. Amazing bang for the buck!!!!

4 out of 5 eggsHigh Value, Low Cost

Pros: Great little low cost switch, but the performance has been very good and the power cost are going to be lower.
Connected at full speed with over 11 different PC and other devices I tried it with, all with no issue.

Cons: Only con you might say is the plastic case, but for the price I would never hold that against it.

Other Thoughts: Would buy again and on Shell Shocker for 17.99 shpped just can't be beat ever.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value, Rock Solid Switch

Pros: Easy to install of course, reliable inexpensive switch with a nice indicator panel which is easy to follow linked devices and transmit speeds.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I prefer Netgear large frame business class Routers & Switches but for a value and similar performance these are a great alternative and work well for end point distribution, I use my Netgear for my back-plain and mid-point support.
