Works occasionally
- Pros: Good range.
- Cons: Needs to be constantly reset to avoid slow down.
- Other Thoughts: This router works well when it is working. Typically, however, it slows my internet speeds way down. It has only gotten worse since purchasing an iPod touch. Whenever I am doing something that requires large bandwidth, i.e. talking to a friend on skype, I have gotten to the point where I just plug directly into my cable modem.
Poor Build, poor st5ability. SLOW wireless transfer speeds
- Pros: cheap. Small footprint. Range is pretty good, but what good is range when the connectivity was so flaky?
- Cons: quit working after about 3 months. Very flaky connectivity. Would reset itself when transferring large downloads, files or folders. build is cheap.
- Other Thoughts: I am much happier with my Linksys. I have learned though trial and error that you get what you pay for, especially with routers!
not perfect
- Pros: owned for almost 3 years and still running with 3 wired and 3 wifi computers. 3 with xp, 1 with vista and 2 with win2k. worst signal at the far end of 2 story house with laptop is 3 bars. the vista laptop wifis to printer also. easy security setup
- Cons: may be a phone, the modem or something in the hood or our house but sometimes shows no connection to internet even though it still has a connection. definetly gets hot and the cat5 plugs don't lock in. if the little red icon on taskbar bothers you plan to resfreh status alot
- Other Thoughts: bought on sale 3 years ago for the same price now on sale
