Nice switch for a cheap price
- Pros: I really like the idea that this switch uses a standard AC pc power cable. So if you lose or danmage it then just get a new one for a few dollars or dig around for a spare you might have laying around. I also like that there are 3 lights for each port for 3 of the posible speeds. The case for the switch is made of all meatle so its hard to damage it.
- Cons: None so far.
- Other Thoughts: It stays vary cool. I hope jombo frames work on this thing. Haven't tested that yet.
GIGA SWITCH FROM ABS
- Pros: Well, i have been using it for a few weeks now. It works great, silent, perform as expected it.
I never even hear about ABS before i bought this switch. A very good product for me.
- Cons: The ports are in front of the unit, it should be located at the back of it.
- Other Thoughts: I like the no PSU, just a direct cable to the wall.
High pitch whistle
- Pros: Cheap, plenty of features, works.
- Cons: Emits a very high-pitch whistle. Depending on where you place it and how good your hearing is, it can be very annoying. I had the unit RMA'd once in an attempt to correct the problem, but it seems to be a design flaw.
- Other Thoughts: If the switch is going into a closet or some other closed-off area, it would probably be very good, but will drive you batty if put into a living area.
