Awesome Notebook
- Pros: System is extremely high end in hardware (might use a faster cpu), but all other components are extreme. System has worked flawlessly since I took it out of the box. Highly recommended!
- Cons: Would have liked to have a faster CPU, but that would drive up price.
- Other Thoughts: Best bargin I could find for the money!!!

Beware of this laptop if you're looking for complete compatibility with everything.
Specifically, an item I have bought here in Japan, a Buffalo TV tuner, has caused Windows XP SP2 English, Windows 2000 Professional Japanese, and Windows XP SP1 Japanese to all FAIL, blue screen, and damage the kernel. On closer inspection the device was working perfectly fine and happy on an older Celeron M Sony laptop.
In other cases, some software (very few cases) that I took time out of my day to install just refuses to run, or crashes on startup. This is caused by kernel32 not wanting to behave specifically because of the laptop, and this persistent problem was present in all 3 installations of Windows as stated before.
- Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a laptop that will work with everything, cross your fingers and hope that it will work (or that I have a defective product). In all likelihood these problems should have been fixed by now, but to be safe, and if you really do not need it (this is geared towards the less savvy), do not purchase this, or any other core duo notebook and look for an older laptop (that is not Intel 945)
Lot's of bang for the buck
- Pros: Large harddrive, quiet, nice keyboard, lot's of memory, cool DVD drive(no tray), and came with XP Pro.
- Cons: Battery life could be a bit more, but with minimal adjustments, I could get 4+hrs.
- Other Thoughts: Newegg shipping is still incredible.
