Good Laptop
- Pros: Fast, great tools, stable product. The backup feature is SO nice. The screen is bright, the hotkeys are useful, and there are a lot of keyboard shortcuts for useful things.
- Cons: Not as polished-looking as an IBM - the plastic they use feels/looks kind of cheap. Comes with software that I don't want. Doesn't play FEAR that well.
- Other Thoughts: This laptop is really great. Unfortunately, it comes with this like Norton Anti-Virus which I don't really want. I would reccomend it to anyone looking for a good cheap laptop.
Not bad for the price
- Pros: I don't know whether I have a revised model but I don't experience the high heat that everyone else speaks of. Hardware packed for the price.
- Cons: None yet.
- Other Thoughts: Kind of weary of the Acer brand. I had an Acer desktop years ago with and Intel MMX chip that used to crash and customer service was no help!
FIle System?
- Pros: Just an all around great product for the price...
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: Why is everyone so worried about the file system? Unless you're adding the machine to a domain it really doesn't matter. And if you are adding it to a domain then convert drive_letter: /fs:ntfs at a cmd prompt solves that small issue in about 10 minutes.
